"I have nothing but good things to say about Steve and Accent tile! He did a wonderful job on my master shower remodel! His craftsmanship is outstanding and his integrity is above reproach! Steve went the extra mile to please us and to make sure we got exactly what we wanted! I would recommend Accent tile to anyone looking for remodeling or even new shower installations."

Small jobs welcome

Offers commercial services

I have been in the construction business for the last four years full time. I can handle anything from new construction projects, remodeling, or just some honey do projects. If you need a new ceiling fan or a new deck or maybe just your lawn mowed, I can handle it.

Emergency services offered

"I hired this company to build a screened in enclosure in my backyard on my deck. As a veteran myself, I always love to support veteran businesses. Nathan was very professional and prompt in coming out to give a quote. His prices are more than fair especially in this economy with lumber. Acquiring permits took NO time at all. His team knocked the job out in 4-4.5 days and the results are absolutely gorgeous. His guys are very professional, personable and knowledgeable. I have 3 dogs in the backyard so his team was very good about cleaning up any nails or debris after completion. Finding this type of quality work in the Lufkin area is very difficult! Weâ re loving our back deck now and will hire Leatherneck in the future, 100%."

"J Smith started two jobs for me which he has not completed. It's been over a month now, no word from him. He put up a fence but the gate was the wrong size. He said he would come back and replace it. The second job was to fix the corner of my house that was hit by a car. His work was very sloppy and not complete. He did not come back as promised. I had to hire another contractor to tear everything down and rebuild the wall. I paid J Smith 2x the amount that it cost for the second contractor to complete work. He is a nice person; however; I would not recommend"

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

If a contractor is in breach of your contract, sometimes it is possible to collect damages for unreasonable delays. However, such claims can be expensive and difficult to prove. If there’s a way to complete the work and maybe negotiate for a discount for some of the inconvenience, that might be a simpler and cheaper way to resolve any disputes.

There are a few advantages to hiring a handyperson as a contractor, namely that they will likely charge less for their services since they don’t have as much overhead. A handyperson might also have more flexibility and be more involved in your specific home project, so you can communicate with one person instead of a subcontractor team.

The cost to hire a handyman can vary, with most charging on a per-hour or per-project basis. On average, expect to pay between $50 and $150 per hour, with a typical rate around $90 per hour. For project-based work, the average cost is about $400, though the total can range from as low as $180 to $1,500 or more. Some handypeople may also require a minimum flat rate, such as payment for two hours of work.

Several factors influence the final cost, including:

  • The type, size, difficulty, and complexity of the job

  • The amount of time the work takes

  • The handyman's experience level

  • Your geographic location

  • The cost of materials and any necessary permits

  • Accessibility of the work area and potential travel costs

Additionally, you may encounter higher rates or extra fees for emergency services or work scheduled during holidays.

Discuss design preferences and material choices before work begins for cohesive results.

Absolutely, they tailor their approach to address individual requirements, ensuring satisfaction on every visit.
