"Did a great job on drainage trouble at my home. Took creativity and ingenuity and the results are awesome. They did the work exactly as stated in the bid, discussed progress daily and finished ahead of schedule. Am already discussing the next project I look forward to them doing for me."

"I would continue using 4S service for all my landscaping need and home repairs. They are willing to work with you and meet your budges expenses and guidance of what you're looking for in home repairs or landscaping yard working tree trimming etc I will continue using them for the experience of what they're doing and knowledge of how things need to be taken care of and done properly so I would recommend them to anybody else that ask for the type of work that they do"

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Lifespans vary by material and manufacturer, but pond liners last anywhere from 10 to 75 years. For example, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pond liners have a life expectancy of up to 20 years. Other types of pond liners, including those made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), can last 40 to 50 years.

Like pools, ponds can be a safety risk, so they may increase your homeowners insurance. Be sure to let your insurance company know if you build a pond on your property—they may have safety requirements in order to keep your premium from increasing.

Seeps and springs form when groundwater reaches the earth’s surface. The main differences between them are the amount of water and the flow rate. Seeps are smaller than springs and consist of water that’s stagnant or flows slowly. Springs contain more water and flow more quickly.

How many fish can call your pond home depends on the volume of the pond and the fish size. Your pond's filtration system also influences the number of fish that will thrive in a pond. A general rule of thumb is to have 1 inch of fish for every square foot in a pond that's 2 feet deep. Another rule of thumb you can follow is to have one koi fish for every 200 gallons of water or two goldfish for every 200 gallons.

Koi fish should be in the shade and can’t be directly exposed to the sun. Consider building your koi pond in a shaded spot or hanging an awning over the top to control the amount of sunlight coming in. Learn how to design a landscape properly.
