"Called for free estimate and Alex responded. He gave me the options for repair and did not pressure me into a decuson. He let me make the choice. The communication was excellent. A crew of 8 showed up and worked all day completing the project. They were polite and cleaned up after the job was completed. I checked around and found their estimates to be the best with about the same guarantees. This was a very pleasant experience. Now my doors don't gap and close nicely. Thanks Groundworks."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

Pouring drain cleaner down a vent pipe isn’t recommended. First of all, unlike a clog in a sink or bath caused by such material as soap scum build-up, toothpaste, and hair, clogs in a vent pipe are likely the result of debris from trees or even an animal stuck in the pipe. Drain cleaners won’t be able to eat through this kind of material. The cleaner will only become clogged in the vent with the debris, causing even more problems.

Costs vary by severity and access requirements. Typical pricing ranges from $100 to $350, increasing with complexity or for emergency services.

Avoid flushing non-degradable items, schedule regular inspections, and address minor clogs promptly.

Professionals use augers, hydrojetting equipment, and cameras for precise clearing and inspection.

While technically possible, it is unlikely that a clogged toilet will fix itself. Clogs caused by water-soluble materials like toilet paper or human waste may eventually break down in the water, allowing flow to resume. However, this can take time, and any clogs from solid objects require manual removal. In most scenarios, especially if you don't have another bathroom, it is best to fix the clog yourself or call a plumber.
