We ended up with ~25K more at closing than we expected. It's rare that you pay less than half the normal price for something and actually get better service...this was one of those rare experiences. Tausha with Marathon Real Estate is the fourth realtor that I have used. She is by far the best! She helped me find the perfect house, and provided very valuable advice with regards to the terms of the sale. I was constantly updated about new listings, and an old listing of the house we chose was provided to me before it was even officially on the market. This enabled us to submit an offer (that was accepted) on the very first day the property was listed. Her advice throughout the whole process was exactly what you look for in a realtor. She had the best contacts for every contractor that you would need. The icing on the cake for me was her efforts in negotiating the purchase of some of the items in the house that I wanted. The existing owners were selling a very nice refrigerator, washer, dryer, elliptical machine, an outdoor couch and some other minor items. They gave us a very reasonable price of $2600. I was going to negotiate for a couple hundreds dollars off, but Tausha had them include all the items as part of the sale. A very pleasant surprise! This is an investment property for me. I probably would not have ever made a decision to move forward if Tausha had not been so good at her job. I am so glad we did. We love the house!

If we had it to do all over we would just get a lawyer and work with the title company. the title company will make sure everything is done right for the fora after and filing of deed? between a lawyer and a title company you will save money on the realtor service.
