"They did a fantastic job on my walk in shower bench repair. Other contractors didn't want to do the job because it was too small of a job or they quoted me a lot more money. Guys unlimited showed up on time, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and my walk in shower looks good as new. I will definitely use this contractor again!"

"I have nothing but great things to say about Charlie (Owner) and his crew. Paint Masters of Texas was easily one of the best contractors I've hired for a job in a long time and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone. Charlie was extremely professional, prompt and responsive with the original quote request. Everything was reviewed in detail regarding the work to be done and the costs/options involved. He was even able to work the job in ahead of schedule which was really helpful for me. The crew who came out (Steve and one other individual) were extremely professional as well and went above and beyond with the actual work. They took their time, ensured a high-quality outcome and while they had some downtime (when waiting for some paint to dry), they did some other touchups that were not part of the original job. How about that! I'll be using Paint Masters of Texas for any future paint work and I recommend you give them a call. Thank you all for such a great experience!"

"Michael did a great job for us. He is on site to supervise ALL of the work done. The final product you pay for is nothing but the highest quality. Michael is very detail oriented and does a detailed inspection of all work completed. There is a thorough cleanup done every day before his crew leaves. And, he did everything possible to limit the amount of dust spread in our house. What separates the OK, from the good to the very best contractor is how they handle the unexpected. That happened on our job & I couldn't have asked for a better resolution. In fact, I ended up having to insist on splitting the additional costs with him. He's the type of guy you want working on your house."

"We met with 3 contractors to quote work for roof replacement and complete replacement of our cedar siding on a late 70s home (original siding was rotting). Integrity was not the lowest price from the group. However, the high quality of their demonstrated properties, excellent service record, and great referrals encouraged us to contact with them. The estimates and work plan were thoroughly explained by their sales staff. Due to it being original siding, our home required customer cut cedar siding which their carpenters did to perfection. You couldn't tell it wasn't the original siding! They also handled painting and trim perfectly. The roof replacement was through insurance claims (we had hail damage). Their pricing was right in line with our insurance company, went very quickly, and we’ve had no issues since. It also matches well with the siding. When we're working in the yard, at least 10 different cars/passerby’s have asked us who did our siding and roof. Cars have stopped as well to admire the restoration work they did. Definitely recommend!"

I would give AT YOUR SERVICE (Greg K. "Rocky" Thompson) my absolute highest rating.  This is a small contractor that can do big things. I have had NUMEROUS horrible experiences with every type of contractor in in my life------  I know how the bad ones operate--------  This company is the OPPOSITE!  This is the guy that is going to do the work the way you'd do it if you knew how and had time to do it yourself.  He does things the RIGHT WAY. He is an extremely courteous professional man.  Construction is messy.  Rocky is as clean as they come.  His work site is cleaned up daily -------he's very used to working in extremely nice homes and is careful not to bump and bruise furniture, or art, collectibles, etc.  I do not know what all to mention that might help someone decide but I'm telling you, I am a person who appreciates people of this man's integrity...  I have known him for more than 10 years he has done many many other projects for us in that time---------so this review is not for a two week long period--------I know what he's like and I have seen him demonstrate himself on project after project.  Anything I had that came up as a homeowner Rocky is the guy I'm going to call FIRST.  I trusted him so much after the first job 10 years ago, that I leave him keys to the house.  I've had him do work there when we were not home...  Just to be clear ----------THIS IS SOMETHING I NEVER DO!!!!!  There are no other contractors I would give this kind of endorsement to, and NONE that I'd give the keys to my house to and let go over when I'm out of town. He's skilled at all types of construction.  I will say this, his prices are VERY REASONABLE, but this is not the "cheapest or low-ball bid" type of contractor.  If that's what you want "the cheapest" then maybe he will be maybe not--------I'm just saying that if what you want instead is to bring someone into your house that you can TRUST------------someone who really deep down in his heart wants you to be not only "pleased" at the end of your job, but really really excited about how great it came out and how high-quality it is and how all the little details are done right ---------  someone who treats you right --------  someone who takes notes, shows up prepared each day (tools, materials, etc.), keeps the jobsite as clean as it can be -------this is the guy to call.  All jobs he's done for us have gone great. We originally found him from an ad in the church newsletter--------he was a total stranger.  That's why I'm writing this review.  Do you know how many other contractors I've met in that time who have the keys to my house and that I trust like this?     NONE!

Only this one.  My highest endorsement and recommendation.  He works all over NW San Antonio and the Hill country in The Dominion, Fair Oaks Ranch, Boerne, Bulverde------ probably willing to go other directions too--------  There are sometimes a waiting list before he can get to you, He works generally all-alone and he finishes EVERY project (doesn't split his time between multiple jobs).  Everyone who uses him, becomes a repeat customer-----------so he can be very much in demand.  But he'll come out give you an estimate and he'll be honest about when he can start and how long it might take him to do what you want done, he will treat you like a friend would treat you, etc.  He uses TEXT and E-MAIL as well as the PHONE so he's not going to say "I don't believe in them computers..." and he's not a pain in the to get in touch with----------  He's not sick on Monday--------  This is not the "typical contractor"--------not at all.  If you've been through BAD home repair experiences you KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!  You'll end up being Rocky's friend if he works for you.  (I just joined Angie's list, so this is the very first time I've ever "posted a review" for any of the work he's done for us over 10 year period, but he has EARNED every one of these remarks I've made.)

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

You can enclose an open carport, however, there are several things to consider before opting to do so. You'll want to check local building codes and permit requirements before proceeding to make sure it’s legal. While you can sometimes stick-frame a carport enclosure, pre-fab kits are also available. Remember that you'll likely need to meet concrete slab regulations and provide lighting inside the structure. Both of which could substantially drive up costs.

Stick frames, metal frames, or prefabricated concrete frames are included in framing a house, along with creating the framework and space for windows, doors, and entryways. Other aspects of developing a home—like drywall, insulation, windows, doors, and more—are not included in the cost to frame a house.

The cost to install a bow window can range from $1,500 to $15,000, with a national average of $3,900. The total price includes materials, which can cost between $1,200 and over $14,000, and labor, which typically adds $300 to $1,900. Several factors influence the final cost, including the window's size and frame material. For example, vinyl frames are the most budget-friendly option, while wood frames are more expensive. Custom features or energy-efficient upgrades will also increase the price. For comparison, a bay window installation typically costs between $1,000 and $7,000.

Metal stud framing parts include the studs themselves, upper and lower tracks that act as top and bottom wall plates, various angle fasteners and clips, screws for fastening pieces togeher, metal straps, c-channel supports, and thicker steel supporting structures. Roof framing metal components include pre-fabricated trusses, heavy-gauge stud pieces, and various plates and fasteners.

Begin by analyzing the blueprints and gathering the proper materials before framing a house. With the prep stages behind you, begin by framing the floor of a house on the newly set foundation. Exterior and interior walls come next, along with rough openings for doors and windows. Contractors will then add ceiling and roof rafters to finish things off.
