"Great, guys came over to replace broken microwave. Issue was existing microwave was shorter than the new microwave; therefore , the existing tile needed to be trimmed back to allow the new microwave to fit. They took care of it in a few minutes - got the new microwave installed - and cleaned up as though nothing was done. Will definitely call them for future projects."

If the old tiles are in good condition, you can roughen the surface to improve adhesion. However, removing the old tiles ensures a smoother, longer-lasting finish and prevents potential issues down the line.

The reasons not to install flooring underneath a bathtub outweigh the benefits. A properly installed bathtub will keep water from reaching the unprotected subfloor underneath. Installing a tub on top of finished flooring can lead to damage and scratches to the new floor.
