"Ernestos team did excellent work and also threw in some freebie work. My only issue was some lack of coordination between the scope of work I discussed with Ernesto and what his team thought it was. However I worked directly with Ernesto to correct in a timely manner. I had a backyard planter and large flower bed installed as well as front yard weed and mulch."

"Called Ron to get a quote and he came out the same day. After getting HOA approval Ron and his team came out and performed the work - pavers to extend the driveway and landscaping in the front yard. I couldn't be happier with the finished product. Ron and his team were very professional, had great communication and completed the job quickly, all while keeping it clean. Would definitely recommend and will use his services again."

"Mike's Complete Landscaping was wonderful. We wanted our flower beds re-done, and they were over grown with weeds and grass. We also asked for a stone border. From start to finish, they had great communication with us and answered all of my questions immediately (same day.) Mike was very thorough and knowledgeable when he came to do an estimate. The day of the job, they arrived on time and were courteous and professional. They cleaned up after themselves, including bagging up old plants, plus even removing dirt piles from the street. Our yard looks amazing! I would recommend them in a heartbeat, and have them back again. Very reasonably priced and excellent work."

"Mr Sambol is meticulous and caring. Today he dropped by to extinguish the weeds in my gardens even though I had no appointment with him. If I had not been home he would still have done the work. That s the kind of commitment that has the same people requesting his work over and over again. I recommend him highly."

FAQs for weed maintenance projects in Piney Point, TX

The cost to reseed or overseed a lawn is about $1,050 on average, ranging from $450 to $1,700, depending on lawn size, seed type, and location. Popular seed types for residential lawns include bahia, fescue, and Bermuda. Keep in mind that it costs $0.10 to $0.20 per square foot to seed or overseed a lawn. Additional cost factors may include:

  • Fertilization: $80–$400

  • Soil testing: $700–$2,100

  • Yard cleanup and leaf removal: $200–$560

  • Treating weeds: $110–$325

  • Mowing: $50–$210

On average, the cost of lawn fertilization is $250, ranging from $80 to $400, depending on the size of the lawn, its current condition, additional treatments, number of applications, fertilizer type, and location. Keep in mind that labor, tools, and equipment make up 80% to 90% of the total cost of lawn fertilization. Additional lawn treatment options include:

  • Lime treatment: $100–$150 per 1,000 square feet

  • Crabgrass treatment: $30–$80

  • Grub treatment: $30–$80

  • Mulching: $150–$400

  • Dethatching: $265–$295

Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.

When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Landscaping costs around $3,500 but varies widely from $200 to $14,000. Factors that play a part in your final landscaping price tag include:

  • Location

  • Yard size

  • Project size

  • Materials

  • Land preparation

  • Type of landscaping

Considering so many factors, it’s not surprising that the overall costs can differ. A typical landscaping project is flower bed installation, which averages between $800 and $3,000. However, landscape lighting installation is a higher-end project, with a price tag of $2,000 to $6,000
