"The crew was a bit sloppy when Joe wasn't around, but he had them return to re-do a few places and clean off areas where the concrete/mortar should not have been placed. There wasn't anything than couldn't be fixed."

"Patt was very professional and informative during the project. He kept in good contact to let me know the activities as they occurred. This was very helpful as the weather impacted the schedule regularly. The crew was very professional and the site preparation, the final product, and work area cleanup was handled superbly."

"I couldn’t be happier with the work Taylor and 88 Outdoor did on my yard lighting. From the very start, Taylor was professional, responsive, and clearly passionate about what he does. He helped me choose the perfect placement for the lights, and the final result completely transformed the look and feel of my outdoor space. It’s subtle, stylish, and makes the yard feel magical at night. Highly recommend 88 Outdoor for anyone looking to elevate their outdoor lighting—Taylor is truly great at what he does!"

"The Granitite Man was professional, his bid was in line with the bids I received from other granite installers; however, I based my decision not to use his services because I had a referral from a personal friend on the granite installer.  Otherwise, I would have probably used the Granite Man.  He seems very competent.

"This was my first time to have a service performed by Jeff, the owner of Armadillo. The main service was doing several concrete repair jobs on the outside of my home but he also did major caulking around my garage door, removed several major roots from several trees in my yard where damage was being done to a sidewalk and a brick wall, repaired about 10 feet of the brick wall, and stabilized a railing on my staircase inside my home. These repairs were done over a period of 4-5 days. I came to know Jeff quite well. He is very friendly, attentive to finding out exactly what needed to be done, and then showing up and very conscientiously and professionally performed the services. I would without hesitation, highly recommend him for a number of services. I plan to use him on various handy man services around my home in the future."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

How many fish can call your pond home depends on the volume of the pond and the fish size. Your pond's filtration system also influences the number of fish that will thrive in a pond. A general rule of thumb is to have 1 inch of fish for every square foot in a pond that's 2 feet deep. Another rule of thumb you can follow is to have one koi fish for every 200 gallons of water or two goldfish for every 200 gallons.

In short, yes, a pond can add to your home’s value. However, whether it adds value will depend on the condition and aesthetic of your pond. Having this feature already built into a yard’s home can be appealing to homebuyers who value its aesthetic and would prefer not to build it themselves. But if it is not kept in good condition, it could turn buyers away.

One of the most important parts of building a pond is digging the right depth. Your pond needs to be at least one to two feet deep. The specifics of the depth will depend on factors such as the placement of the pond and whether you plan on having fish. If you have fish in your pond, it will need to be at least two feet deep.

Most pond installations take 3-10 days, depending on excavation, liner placement, and filtration setup.

Yes, natural pools can get algae since they use the same filtration processes as lakes or streams. However, you can reduce the risk of algae by adding more algae-fighting plants and not installing your natural swimming pool in direct sunlight, as it promotes algae growth.
