"There is a reason why they have the reviews they do. We got a quote for the services we specifically asked for. Our house was painted new with watered down flat paint. We requested the ceiling be painted we could not decide whether or not to go a flat white or same color as the walls. Ron suggested to do a Flat white. Glad we listened to that advice. So the ceiling got 2 coats of ceiling paint. The walls got 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of paint. (Benjamin Moore). They fixed a lot of poor quality spots in the walls and ceiling. When I spotted a spot they missed they just got it done. No gripes or complaints just done! The workers (Alex, Nathan and Miguel) were great! Got the job done 1 day ahead of expected. When we are ready to have the other rooms done we will be calling you again."

They were replacing facia and soffits for us, and we asked them to build a barrier in our connected breezeway to keep critters out. Lance came up with a great setup, that is holding well and keeping unwanted guests out. Finally their prices are great. Their estimates are accurate to the job requested, and the final price, at or sometimes lower than the estimate. At this point they have done so much work for us, we do not bother with other bids. Like many common door problems, warping can be caused by improper installation. When a door isn't installed correctly, there's a good chance that the poor seal is allowing moisture and drafts to seep through. When this happens, humidity will build up in the wood until it swells and warps.

Wood is by no means the only type of front door material on the market. You can also choose from several other options, including:

  • Aluminum: Low-maintenance and affordable, but lacks insulation 

  • Fiberglass: Offers excellent insulation and durability for a decent price 

  • Glass: Offers beauty but less security or insulation, and a higher price tag 

  • Steel: One of the most economical options if you’re looking for affordability, low maintenance, high security levels, and a door that will last

  • Wrought iron: Attractive and secure, but costly and heavy 

The vast majority of hinges are symmetrical, and either side of the hinge can go on the door or the frame. Occasionally, you'll find a hinge specifically made for right or left-handed doors with different attachment hardware or larger plates on one side. In most cases, the large side of the hinge goes on the frame.

It is possible to install hinges backward, so be careful when placing them. Position the hinge so that the hinge pin faces the direction the door will swing. For example, if you're standing on the side the door will open into, the pin should be visible. Be extra careful when installing exterior doors, as placing the hinges on the outside for an outward-facing door makes your home much easier to break into.

The L marking on a door closer stands for latch speed and the S marking stands for swing speed. These two letters inform what part of the door closer you may be adjusting. The latch speed being the short final swing the door makes before closing and the swing speed being the long swing of the door when closing.
