Customers say: True professional

"Pineda is very honest, and his price was competitive. What really set him appart from the other company that bid was when he showed me the measurement on his measuring roller when he finished rolling it out. The first contractor to bid did not show me the measurement and I discovered he padded his bid by ten feet. Pineda's honesty sold me before we even discussed what I needed. While they were digging the post hole's they broke a water line that Digtest and I were unaware of. They fixed it quickly at no charge. To get the price down he figured out a way to give me a great looking 8ft privacy fence using 6ft pickets that cost half as much as the 8ft. He put two layers of 2x12 treated boards across the bottom of the fence that added two feet to the height and was able to install the pickets making them appear to match the thickness of the 2x12 boards. I never would have thought that 2X12 boards are much cheaper than the pickets that it would take to cover the same amount of fence area. That saved about a thousand dollars and made the fence much stronger and taller. The fence looks great, and that method will make the fence last much longer and be simple to repair when necessary. I have plans to use him to extend the fence this year. It took him a day to put up 233 ft of fence and another day to paint it with a stain preservative. That fence will outlast me."

"Mr. White was very professional in giving us an estimate as well as during the job. The materials and quality of work were exceptional and once finished, the fence has added a rustic charm to the property. Will is a hard worker and completed the fence in a short period of time. We are very pleased with the work and service provided. We definitely would hire him again as well as recommend him to anyone looking to add a fence."

"Josh made a custom tv/media console to fit in a specific place in my home. It needed to fit all my accessories. I asked him to make it â  paint readyâ  so I could paint it myself. He built the perfect console! Thank you! He also extended 2 of my shelves in my pantry so they were deeper. Again, he did a great job!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

The average cost to install a fence is between $1,800 and $4,500. However, the price can vary significantly based on several factors. For a small DIY project, costs could be as low as $450, while fencing a large property like a 5-acre yard can exceed $43,000. Key factors that influence the total cost include the fence's size and height, the material used, the complexity of the design, site preparation needs, and any additional features like gates. The cost of raw materials, manufacturing, and custom fabrication can also impact the final price.

The cost to build a fence is about $3,100 on average, but you could pay anywhere from $400 to $13,700 or more. Your cost will depend on the length, height, and materials for the fence. If you hire a professional installer, labor costs typically represent about half of the total cost of the project. This means you potentially can save quite a bit of money doing the work yourself.

In most cases, a fence can only be built on your property with your consent. Not obtaining permission constitutes an encroachment and a violation of your property rights. However, exceptions may apply, such as when the fence is entirely within the property boundaries of the person putting it up and the fence complies with local zoning laws and regulations. If you think a fence infringes on your property or is not up to local standards, consult with local authorities or legal experts to address the issue and protect your property rights.

Removing fence posts that are set in concrete is something you can't do by hand. You will need an excavator, a strong post-puller, or a jackhammer. If you plan on recycling the concrete base, you may be able to cut the post out with a jackhammer and then set the new post in the existing base. However, it's usually better to remove both the fence post and concrete together. Due to the weight of concrete, you will need a hydraulic removal tool.

Whether you need a permit to build or install a fence depends on several factors, including your location, the fence's height, its placement in your yard, and the materials used. In many cities and highly populated areas, a permit is required, especially for fences taller than 6 feet. Conversely, rural areas may have fewer restrictions. Typically, backyard privacy fences 6 feet or shorter do not require a permit, while front yard fences often have a lower height limit, sometimes as low as 3.5 feet. There can also be exceptions for properties in mixed residential-commercial zones. It's best to check with your local building inspection or zoning department to understand the specific requirements, height restrictions, and location rules for your area. A professional fence installer can help you navigate this process and often secure the necessary permits for you, though this may extend the project timeline.
