"They do a great job and it is definitely very effective. I also have problems with the cost. They are here like 3 quarters of an hour and it’s $118, it seems high. That’s the only part of what I pay because in addition to the spray where they come 4 times a year, they also come 4 times a year and do a... they have a big system where they put these things in the ground to have the wood inside the thing and this 42 station around the house and they go around the house to check and see if termites are involved in, you know, be attracted to the bait. When you go down south or even out west to California, termites are an issue. If you have a piece of wood on the ground, termites will find it. The baiting station system is very effective in two ways, one it tells you if the termites are actually in the vicinity of your own wood. The house is built to be termite proof but there are still ways for them to get in. The other thing they do is, they tell you the bait home to their own nest, so if they are active but they are not getting in your house, you still can control them from a distance because they tell you to bait home and it kills some of the termites in the nest, I think it may kill the queen stuff like that. The 42 station is well worth it but they are also very expensive. I give them nay on that. The quality is very good. I always get together with the guy when he comes and we go around together, look at all the stations. I know he does a good job. He always calls when he is on the way. "

"Both the inspector and the treatment guy were very friendly and professional. The inspector assessed our problem as an infection with fleas from a pet bird and he appeared to be right, however, the treatment guy said that he should have also checked for bedbugs. The treatment for fleas seem to have corrected our problem."

"Terminix was quick to respond and to get out here for a termite inspection, which is what we needed. However, they signed us up for pest control and said their agent would be out to care for us right away. So far haven’t seen him yet. Will give 5 stars if that turns out well."
Different pest control methods exist to help mitigate an infestation. Not every technique will work with every pest, which is why speaking with a pest control expert is crucial to taming your problem. Different methods of pest removal include:
Heat treatments
Freezing treatments
Traps
Barriers
Chemical pesticides
Fumigation
Rodenticides
Mechanical devices
Repellants
The cost of pest control is $175 for the average homeowner. However, you could spend as little as $100 or as much as $500 or more, depending on the infestation size, the number of visits you need, and the pest you’re exterminating.
For example, if you need to rid your home of spiders, you’ll likely be spending between $100 and $300. However, if you have a termite problem, you can expect a bill of $230 to $2,500 or more, depending on the infestation size and damage caused.
Animal removal specialists specialize in removing critters and wildlife from in and around your home. These include:
Bats
Birds
Groundhogs
Moles and voles
Opossums
Mice and rats
Raccoons
Skunks
Squirrels
The specialist's method to remove these critters will depend on the animal. For example, groundhogs will be live-trapped and relocated, whereas, for birds, the expert will remove and discard the inactive nest and sanitize the area.
Professional animal removal costs between $200 and $600 for average homeowners. However, depending on the type and number of critters removed, this cost could range from $85 to $1,400.
This cost does not include the cost of home damage caused by the animal, which could be as low as $300 for minor drywall repair or as much as $15,000 for crawl space cleaning and restoration.
Even if you’re not immediately showing signs of pests, it’s a good idea to get into the habit of routine pest control. This should be done yearly, quarterly, bi-monthly, or monthly, depending on your location and if any signs of infestation are already present. For example, if you live by water, you might experience more pests in the spring and summer than someone who lives in a dry climate. Discuss treatment options with your pest professional to determine a suitable schedule for you and your home.
