"I contacted Jose Martinez to see if he could give me an estimate on some work I needed done after high winds had knocked a big limb down in my yard. He who was at my house within a few hours. Along with the limb being removed, I also discussed trimming my two trees in the backyard. He and his crew were at my home within four days to do the work and could have came sooner but I was going to put of town. They did a great job trimming and cleaning up my yard afterwards. They were very also very professional and courteous! He told me what he recommended on how much to cut back and made sure I was ok with it all. I will highly recommend MTZ Professional Tree Services to everyone!"

"What a great job Guillermo did on our yard projects. Pulled out shrubs, planted shrubs, pulled weeds and put down weed cloth and mulch in 2 large areas. Will definitely be calling on him again for future jobs. Very reasonable, reliable and takes great pride in making sure his customers are happy with the work. Highly recommend."

"TDR did a wonderful job cleaning up and mowing my neglected yard in a very timely manner as well as giving me a quote before doing the work. I'm very happy I found & hired TDR, spoke with Stephen many times over the course of the job as well as receiving pictures of work and video when completed since I wasn't able to be there at my place. Highly recommend & hired Stephen to come back to keep yard under control in the future."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

While not all homes built before 1978 contain lead paint, enough do, so you’ll still want to test to be on the safe side. The federal government banned lead-based paint for homes in 1978, but your state may have banned lead before that time. Around 24% of homes built between 1960 and 1977 contained lead-based paint, while 87% of homes built before 1940 contained lead-based paint.

Lead toxicity comes from inhaling lead or consuming it. Before the 1980s, when the government banned lead from consumer use, it could be found in paint, plumbing, pipes, ceramics, and even gasoline. Lead paint is toxic for the same reason lead itself is toxic, which is why lead poisoning from paint presents the same as lead poisoning from water or food sources, with a slight increase in respiratory symptoms vs. digestive symptoms. Lead paint is most dangerous when it’s old and peeling, cracking, or otherwise disturbed. This increases the concentration in the air and, therefore, in breathable air.

The best way to remove lead paint is by wet hand sanding and removing all dust and residue with a HEPA vacuum. Professionals may also strip and scrape lead-based paint with a paint scraper. In some cases, you may choose to have a pro encapsulate or enclose your lead-based paint surface by covering it with a sealant or a new material. You may also choose to replace the material altogether.

Chlorine has a shelf life of between six months and several years, depending on its type and formulation. Liquid chlorine can often lose its effectiveness in just a few weeks. Pool owners can find themselves with overstock that they need to get rid of. The best way to dispose of excess chlorine is to take it to a hazardous waste collection site and let the pros handle it.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
