"The trimming went great. This was a very complicated situation because of the size and shape of the tree plus the massive deterioration to the inside of the tree. We had several contractors out to review the tree and give quotes. The solution that Rick came up with turned out to be the best and the cheapest. What more can you ask for. I will be using Rain Hunters more in the future"

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Watch for visible signs of wear to know when to schedule marble and granite service. High mineral content in Mission water causes hard water buildup, leaving white haze or dull spots on stone surfaces. You should also inspect stone floors for cracked grout or uneven edges caused by local foundation movement. Finally, check kitchen countertops for discoloration from acidic foods like citrus.

Helpful?

Completing marble and granite service upgrades your home's comfort during intense Mission summers. Because natural stone stays cool to the touch, it provides immediate relief from the heat. Properly sealed stone surfaces also resist moisture absorption, preventing mold growth during humid seasons. Additionally, solid countertops and floors do not harbor dust mites or airborne allergens, significantly improving indoor air quality for residents.

Helpful?

The timeline for marble and granite service depends on the project size. Kitchen countertop installations take one to three days, plus up to two weeks for fabrication. Whole-home stone flooring takes one to three weeks. If you select specialty stone sourced outside TX, expect additional lead time. Schedule your project before the peak fall renovation season to avoid delays from high contractor demand.

Helpful?

Assess your foundation before starting marble and granite service. Because TX soils cause foundation movement, your home requires a stable base without uneven floors or sticking doors. Slab-on-grade construction handles the heavy weight of stone perfectly. Inspect lower-level rooms for trapped subfloor moisture from past water intrusion. Always verify your neighborhood guidelines before planning any exterior stone applications to ensure full compliance.

Helpful?

In the short term, marble and granite service provides immediate cooling comfort during hot Mission summers and reduces indoor allergens. Over the long term, durable stone surfaces withstand extreme temperature cycles far better than synthetic alternatives. Natural stone resists local pest pressures, offering no food source for termites. Properly maintained stone installations also add lasting real estate value to your home.
