"The company provided a quick and fair quotation using photos and measurements that I provided of the deck along with a description of the services I was requiring. Upon my acceptance of the quote, the work was scheduled that week.
When the technician arrived, he assessed that due to the previous staining job being performed on wet pressure treated wood that we would need to use a different type of stain product than was originally quoted. The difference in price was ~$50 and we mutually agreed to the change in scope.
The technician performed the cleaning on the first day. The cleaning consisted of a blower to remove any large debris and a pressure wash with a cleaning solution.
The staining occurred on day two and was applied with a gas-powered sprayer. We had chosen a Sherman Williams Solid Color Traditional Russet Superdeck Stain. As Good As New offered a 3 year warranty for this product.
Upon completion, the technician and I walked the job and looked for missed spots. We found none. He then gave detailed instructions on how to care for the new stain and told me to call if we had any issues during the warranty period.
Overall a very positive experience with As Good As New.

"Follow-up on a prior visit. I noticed a loose shingle yesterday being blown by the wind. I called Storm Phillips, he agreed to check on it on Sunday afternoon. Arrived on time, got started immediately, double-secured the loose shingle (tar and silicon) and checked others around it, replaced ones needing it, at NO CHARGE because I had used him in 2013 to do a thorough roof-shingle check and repair. Very professional, DEFINITELY will use him again. Fair, honest, great vendor.

"The crew was a bit sloppy when Joe wasn't around, but he had them return to re-do a few places and clean off areas where the concrete/mortar should not have been placed. There wasn't anything than couldn't be fixed."

"Joels fence designs took into consideration style, durability, quality, cost, and functionality. I had a tentative idea of what I wanted with this project but had specific concerns regarding my very large dogs which Joel addressed extremely well. Joel listened to what I had to say and walked through it with me on site. He thought of things I hadn't even considered and made appropriate suggestions to fill the gaps in my plan.
I had him put in a 6 foot wooden privacy fence with a gate along the back of the property. In addition, he designed and installed a wrought iron fence around the upper tier of my deck and yard including multiple gates. Lastly, he built a fence on my side yard to form a dog run including stairs from my upper to lower tiers of my yard.
Joel was professional, helpful, and extremely responsive. He ensured all work performed was completed in a timely manner and also that his team cleaned up and left my property in great shape. He has since followed up to make sure his work has continued to meet my expectations.
I think this should be right out there - His pricing was fair and there were NO HIDDEN ITEMS OR SURPRISES. And yes, I had shopped around - I'm an auditor after all. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thanks Joel

"Construction went well, there were a few weather delays, but what can you do about that. When work was complete, I was somewhat surprised that some of the hardware was not what I was expecting. Gate latches were not consistent with construction, meaning the latches looked cheap compared to the remainder of the work. Also, some of the tie wire used is soft steel baling type wire which has already begun to rust. These few shortcomings are the only reason I did not award all A's to this company. That said, they were professional, punctual and communicated very well. Highly recommend A-southern Fence."
