"If you need a creative, hard charging group of professionals to get your landscaping project done right the first time It's pretty simple, the Heritage TX Landscaping team is who you want. No job is too big or small. No job is too complicated. Working with Jose, Carlos and the rest of their team was easy and straightforward...comfortable. The cost was very reasonable. They showed up on time every day. And got the job done on schedule. They are my "go-to" guys for any and all of my landscaping needs from now on!!the Heritage TX Landscaping team is who you want. "Juan and Custom Lansdscaping were fantastic. I received a very professionally produced and detailed quote with specific line items, pictures, and recommendations for the best type of sod for our project. Juan was very responsive to all of to all of my questions and responded promptly to all of my messages. His team was outstanding! They did an amazing job preparing the yard, stripping out all of the Dead material and preparing a proper surface for installation of the sod. Custom Landscaping charged a fair price for the work and did a great job. They have my highest recommendation! I will definitely be working with Juan and his team again"

Small jobs welcome

"Best Landscaping service I've used. I've had good ones before, but they all end up going out of business. I've used these guys for years now and they are perfect. Yard always looks good, and they do bushes on request as well for a good price."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

Since you’ll likely be digging a trench to install your yard drainage system, this is a good time to complete other tasks that involve digging up your yard, including: Sprinkler system installation Lawn reseeding Regrading your yard Redesigning your landscaping If your drain is under a walkway or driveway, your contractor must also remove those materials. This is a great time to consider upgrading your hardscaping features, especially if they’re nearing the end of their life span.

You should plant trees at least 15 to 20 feet away from your house, and more if the tree will grow large and spread its limbs. Trees pose several dangers to houses when planted too close. They can litter the roof with leaves and branches, create fire hazards, make a ladder for larger pests, and even damage the foundation as their roots grow.

The best way to landscape your front yard on a budget is to invest in hiring a professional for hardscaping—things like upgrading walkways, redoing driveways, and installing partitions around garden beds. You can often do the softscaping yourself—think laying down mulch, caring for your lawn, removing weeds, and planting flowers and shrubs. It’s also almost always worthwhile to pay a professional for routine yard maintenance, as this dramatically improves curb appeal and delivers above 100% ROI in most cases.

If you are xeriscaping a lawn from scratch, your best bet for preparing the lawn is to work with a xeriscaping specialist in your area. The most common first step to making the transformation, however, will be to remove the turfgrass from your lawn. The subsequent steps will often include amending the soil to support new plants and installing low-drip or drip irrigation systems.

Most bamboo can send roots down two to three feet into the ground. However, when stopping bamboo from spreading, the focus is on the runner roots or rhizomes. These roots are much shallower, staying 12 inches or less from the surface, so they’re easier to find and remove. But if you want to remove the bamboo entirely, you’ll have to dig out the full root system.
