No job is too big or small. No job is too complicated. Working with Jose, Carlos and the rest of their team was easy and straightforward...comfortable. The cost was very reasonable. "Juan and Custom Lansdscaping were fantastic. I received a very professionally produced and detailed quote with specific line items, pictures, and recommendations for the best type of sod for our project. Juan was very responsive to all of to all of my questions and responded promptly to all of my messages. His team was outstanding! They did an amazing job preparing the yard, stripping out all of the Dead material and preparing a proper surface for installation of the sod. Custom Landscaping charged a fair price for the work and did a great job. They have my highest recommendation! I will definitely be working with Juan and his team again"

Small jobs welcome

"Best Landscaping service I've used. I've had good ones before, but they all end up going out of business. I've used these guys for years now and they are perfect. Yard always looks good, and they do bushes on request as well for a good price."

"Hired Texas Pride to fix some terrible work completed by another company. Wish I had gone with them from the start. Outstanding customer service and very good craftsmanship in their work. Highly recommend you give them a call for anything landscaping related."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

The truth is, there really is no such thing as a 100% deer-proof plant. Deer will decimate even the prickliest flora if they’re hungry enough. However, there are plenty of beautiful plants that deer don’t necessarily enjoy. These include thistles, wisteria vines, sword ferns, and beautyberries.

Deer are herbivores, and they love vegetable gardens as much as Peter Rabbit. If you don’t want to fence in your entire property, consider creating an attractive raised-bed veggie garden with mesh fencing around it to keep out deer and other critters.

There are several reasons your grass may be dying that could be in or out of your control. The most common issues include poor drainage, under/overwatering, poor soil pH, low soil nutrients, low sunlight, or too much foot traffic.

Surface-level tree roots might only pose a small threat, such as being a tripping hazard or obstacle when you mow your lawn. But if mature tree roots start growing in the direction of your home’s foundation or plumbing system, it could be a real problem. Cutting small tree roots out before they grow too large can keep your home safe without removing the whole tree.

There are many benefits to raised garden beds. It’s easier to control weeds and enrich the soil. The truth is, most top soil isn’t suitable for growing veggies, and you’ll need to make adjustments. It’s easier to adjust a controlled space than a large area.

Most experts recommend a quarter-inch layer of compost for best results, and you will need about .77 cubic yards of material per 1,000 square feet. To measure how much compost to use, take the square footage of your yard and multiply it by .77, then divide that number by 1,000.
