"Things went well/better than i expected. Technician diagnosed quickly that one of the circuit breakers on the outside panel was bad and replaced with a new 20 amp breaker. Was pleased not only with the outcome, but was also impressed with the technicians professionalism and willingness to to explain things honestly with tips & advice to avoid future problems as well as possibly upgrading equipment (circuit breakers/panel) in the distant future to avoid problems without being pushy to make a sale. Enjoyed the whole process from start to finish with absolutely no complains whatsoever! Good JOB! Mr. Mike! Thanks a million!"

After unscrewing the fan, you can disconnect the wires and remove the entire fan from the mounting hardware. For safety, make sure the fan switch is turned off before you remove the canopy. It may be easier to remove the fan blades first, too.

You can also try spraying a clean fan with a store-bought dust-repellent product or making a DIY dust-repellent with water and a small amount of liquid fabric softener mixed in.

It’s possible to install your own ceiling fans if you’re replacing an existing one. This work doesn’t require a permit and technically doesn’t necessitate a certified electrician, but it’s still a good idea to hire one. There’s always a safety risk when working with electrical components, even if you shut the power off at the breaker. If you’re installing a new ceiling fan where there currently isn’t a fixture, you will need a licensed electrician to run the new wiring and pull permits for the work.
