"Uploaded needed work through Angi and Cornerstone Masonry responded the same day. Eddie came out and viewed the work that was requested and offered a price. This was on a Saturday, by Monday afternoon all work was completed. An outside wall of the garage had damage, brick was completely removed and new was replaced. Would recommend Cornerstone Masonry for anyone looking for brick work"

"Ben and his son Gavin showed up on time and finished the job in one day. Left me with clear instructions as to how to “water in” the decomposed granite between the flagstones. "The concrete block fence looks good except for mortar breaking out of the tee joint. He stopped answering calls and texts to fix it. Said he would be here the next day after he got a color match, then never showed up. He will not respond to texts or calls. Think he has blown me off."

It is possible, albeit a lot slower, to break up a rock using water. You would do this by freezing and thawing the water. You could create some initial holes or cracks in the rock, then pour water into the cracks or holes and allow them to freeze (so it's best to do this in winter or in colder climates). Since water expands when it freezes, this puts pressure on the inside of the rock and causes it to crack. You could continue to pour more water in and let it freeze to continue to break up the rock.
