"Excellent communication and customer service throughout the job. Their services were very fairly priced. A highly professional company with drug tested and background checked employees. All of their trucks and equipment were branded which shows their pride in what they do. Weâ re going to hire them to do additional work in the future. I would recommend them to anyone who needs tree service or maintenance."

"Provided root treatment for three trees (1 red oak, 1 live oak & 1 silver leaf maple ) to both root feed the trees and kill infections inside the trees - particularly the silver leaf maple.
The Silver Leaf Maple is about 26 years old and I was about ready to cut it down.  Bob White convinced me to allow him to treat the tree  September 2012 but told me it would talk until the spring (2013) to see the difference.  Both of the Oaks are substantially healthier and greener than similar trees on my street.  But the Silver Leaf Maple appears to be rebounding very well, and if I can save this very old tree, then I will be very pleased and surprised.  And right now - it looks as though it will do well.
Thanks Bob.

"He called the very next day. Said he would be here the following day or during the week. He came the second Saturday and cut the tree down. Drove back to Wolforth to dump one load and pick up the Stump Grinder. Did not have an extra bar so they took turns making the final cuts with the smaller chainsaw. I did not require them to remove the woodchips. I also did not require them to carry off the large stumps. Both men worked really hard. The price was fair although they did get out of removing the large pieces that would have been real work to load. They made another trip back to Wolforh to unload and to return the Stump Grinder. They did return to finish the job. I would not hesitate to use them again. He did not charge me for the initial visit, whereas other companies would have charged quite a bit. Also the other companies never did get back in touch with me. I highly recommend Hyperion Tree Service. By the way I live in Levelland."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

It is possible to cut down a tree on your property yourself, but it is generally not recommended unless specific conditions are met. You should only consider this project if the tree is small (e.g., under 4-5 inches in diameter and short enough that you don't need a ladder to reach the branches), and you are experienced in handling a chainsaw. The tree must also be located far from any power lines, fences, homes, or other structures. Even for small trees, the work can be dangerous, and it's always advisable to have a spotter to ensure the tree falls correctly and no branches fall on you.

For any tree that is large, requires a ladder to access, or is near electrical lines or structures, you should always hire a professional. Attempting to remove a large tree yourself is extremely dangerous, poses a risk of serious injury, and could result in significant damage to your property.

Before any tree removal, it's also important to check your local and state regulations to ensure the tree is not historic or otherwise protected by your city.

Pruning trees is important for several reasons. It improves tree health and strength by removing dead, diseased, or unwanted branches, which in turn encourages new growth and can help treat disease. For fruit trees, proper pruning can lead to a larger and better-quality harvest. Pruning also enhances safety by removing weak limbs that could break and fall, potentially causing injury or property damage, especially during storms. Beyond these functional benefits, pruning can also improve a tree's appearance. To ensure pruning is done correctly for the tree's long-term health, consider hiring a professional.

Generally, you do not have the right to take fruit from a neighbor's tree, even if the branches overhang your property. The fruit is considered the property of the tree's owner. While you may have the right to trim branches that cross into your yard, the fruit on them typically still belongs to your neighbor. However, laws can vary by state and municipality. In some areas, branches that extend into your yard or trees that straddle a property line may entitle you to some of the fruit. The best course of action is to speak with your neighbor, as they may be happy to share. If a conversation is not possible, check your local regulations before picking any fruit.

Early signs that a tree is struggling include premature leaf shedding and lesions or other strange markings. Peeling bark, dead or rotten branches on the ground, and a conspicuous lack of leaves can all be signs that a tree has started to die. By the time a tree starts leaning, it’s usually too far gone to save.

No. Most of the time, suckers are only a sign that the tree is experiencing stress. However, they can also be the canary in the coal mine, letting you know that something else is stressing your tree. If you have lots of suckers on your tree, calling in an arborist or a tree care expert is always a good call to determine the cause and develop a solution that de-stresses your tree.
