"After requesting a power washing request I received a call first thing in the morning from Atex Pressure Pros and they came within two days. When Mike arrived he immediately gave me decent quotes on the areas I needed work on and as soon as I agreed to the quotes he went right to work. He was quick, efficient and polite throughout the entire process. Our neighbor was impressed he requested to have work done as well. Payment was quick and easy online. Will definitely refer them to anyone and use their services again."

"Thomas power washed our patio, and then came back to do the exterior window cleaning. We give him 5 stars. He is on time. He puts everything in writing, he conducts himself very professionally and strives to please his customers. We endorse his work ethic and hope he continues down this path. Great Job! He is local right here in Lakeway!"

"Splendidly. All the glass they work with outside the indoor windows, light fixtures and chandelier all look just like new. I can't remember who recommended them to me, but I'm sure glad they did and I haven't had anyone else doing our windows as long as I can remember. Although it wasn't an issue on our most recent cleaning, on other occaissions in the past I was late in asking for their services for a particular date that was important to me (relatives coming). Joel worked me into this schedule and saved the day."

Pressure Washing questions, answered by experts

Combining power and soft washing is a great way to ensure that all surfaces, both fragile and not, get the attention they deserve. Start by power or pressure washing durable materials like vinyl siding and concrete pavement or driveways, then switch the tips on your machine and finish up by soft washing the more delicate elements, like shutters and front doors, for example.

Whether you need to winterize your pressure washer depends on where you store it. If you can keep it in a relatively warm place with no risk of freezing, you won't need to add antifreeze. However, if the machine will be stored in freezing temperatures, any liquid left in the water pump can freeze, expand, and cause severe damage. To prevent this, add antifreeze to keep it in good condition. While some suggest emptying the machine with compressed air, this can be a tedious process that may not fully drain the liquid. Regardless of storage conditions, it is also good practice to empty the gas chamber and refresh the oil before winter storage.

Yes, you can pressure wash metal fences. However, as with other fencing materials, it’s important to use the right PSI when pressure washing a steel, aluminum, or other metal fence. If you apply too much pressure, you could strip off the paint, ruin the protective coating, or otherwise damage the fence.

No. In spite of its identical chemical makeup, sodium bicarbonate manufactured for blasting purposes has a particular type and size of particles that differs from grocery store baking soda. In addition, this method would not be cost effective because you would need several boxes of baking soda to equal one blast-sized bag of medium.

Sodium bicarbonate does not need to be cleaned up as thoroughly as many of its aggregate counterparts because it is not considered dangerous to the environment, nor to pets or people. While you will likely want to clean up the dust with a shop-vac and some water for aesthetic and comfort reasons, soda blasting cleanup is much simpler than for most sandblasting.
