"These guys were incredible! Not only did they stain my deck with the proper product, but they replaced boards that were warped or rotten. They were reliable and traveled more than an hour to get here each day until they were finished. I would recommend them for any kind of paint job."

"Juan and his partner, Francisco did a great job at restaining our fence, inside the yard and out. They arrived right on time, had us choose the stain color, and while Francisco power washed the entire fence, Juan went to get the stain. They were both very personable, funny, and were very focused on their work. I would definitely recommend them for any painting job that you might have. The price was great (after some very expensive estimates) so we felt confident Chacun Painting was the right company for us."

"Harrison and his crew exceeded my expectations! They extensively prepped our house including covering all surfaces that should not be painted, and caulking all the seams before painting. I was nervous about getting the exterior of our home painted, but was so pleased with the final result! Harrison made sure the job was completed smoothly and quickly. Thanks for a job well done!"

"Ernesto and his crew were amazing from start to finish. He was so kind and really paid attention to detail. He re-stained and repaired our back patio railing as well as painted our farmhouse interior/exterior doors. We will definitely call him again for any painting we need done at our home. Definitely a 5 star rating."

"We found AJ's Painting on Yelp and are so glad we did. They are professional, reliable, reasonable and will go above and beyond to ensure the customer is happy. In fact, after they finished the job (interior painting), we noticed some areas that needed touching up and Anthony sent someone out without a problem. We are looking forward to working with them on future projects. Highly recommend!"

"Jason and his crew did an excellent job painting the outside of our oversized RV garage. They power washed, prepped, sanded, and painted. They were professional, courteous, prompt and the cost was reasonable. Would definitely hire them again!"

"I was redoing my mom’s home and didn’t have the budget to gut the kitchen. I decided I wanted to paint the cabinets but knew it was above my pay grade. My handy man recommended Ross and he was AWESOME! He totally transformed the kitchen! He used high quality primer and paint. His prepping the space was great. Often time crews skimp on this step. Not Ross. There was NOT a spot of paint anywhere on my floors, counters or back splash. It’s been over a year and the cabinets look as good as the day he painted them. Plan on having him back for my exterior eventually. A+++"

Painting questions, answered by experts

If you paint a vinyl fence, it will likely stick to it for only a brief amount of time. This is because vinyl is not a porous material, so it's not an ideal surface for holding paint. Initially, paint will stick to your fence, but it will eventually peel off. Applying primer before painting your vinyl fence will help paint last longer. Certain primers are well-suited to vinyl, which means you can paint vinyl siding with the proper preparation.

Staining a wood fence isn’t guaranteed to prevent warping, but it can help. Plus, it’s a beginner-friendly DIY project that you can finish in a few days. If you want to try it, you’ll start by stripping it of any old stain or paint, then sanding it. After that, you’ll clean it and spot-treat any mold or mildew. When it’s dry, you can apply the stain.

Yes, staining or sealing a cedar deck or fence is highly recommended to extend its lifespan, typically by five to 10 years. While cedar is naturally resistant to mold and mildew, it can still fall victim to moisture, sun exposure, and rot over time. Applying a treatment creates a protective shield that helps prevent splintering, fading, and decay, preserving the wood's strength and appearance. A combination stain and sealer often provides the best protection, as it soaks into the wood grain rather than just sitting on top. This offers superior defense against UV damage and rot and lasts longer than a sealer alone. To maintain the wood's natural look, consider using a near-translucent stain. You should plan to reapply the stain or sealer every two to three years.

DIY is possible with proper tools and knowledge, but professionals can ensure even application and high-quality results, saving time and hassle.

Yes, you can and should paint or stain pressure-treated wood to help prevent the boards from cracking. However, you must wait for the wood to dry out completely before applying any finish. Freshly treated wood can take weeks or even months to dry; a common recommendation is to wait three to six months. To check if the wood is ready, perform a simple water test: drip some water onto the surface. If the water beads up, the wood is still too wet and needs more time to dry. If the wood absorbs the water, it is dry enough to be painted or stained. You can proceed with building your deck or fence while the wood is still wet, but you will need to wait to apply the paint or stain.
