Here at Texas Mowers, our number one priority is that our customers are completely 100% satisfied with our work while also meeting all those needs in a timely matter and making sure we meet them perfectly. Texas Mowers was founded in 2018 by a kid in his final years of high school which now has turned into a full-time job that has helped that same kid through college. We have plenty of satisfied customers that leave plenty of positive feedback and reviews. We treat every job as if it was at our own house in a way meaning we will not stop until the job is exactly how it was planned and until it looks great. Coming from a family with a ton of people who served in the military and law enforcement we also off discounted prices to those who have served and are currently serving. We strive to do excellent work but have even better communication with our customers to make sure it is just what they had in mind or better.

Lawns questions, answered by experts

Buffalo grass starts to turn brown when encountering drought during the normal growing season. You can water the grass when you begin to notice some browning to prevent it from going dormant. Additionally, buffalo grass turns brown after the first freeze of late autumn or early winter, and this is a natural time for the grass to go dormant.

Moss growing in a lawn is a sign of poor soil that makes it hard for grass and plants to grow. Moss thrives in these conditions and spreads easily, so it can quickly take over your yard if it’s lacking in nutrients, too wet, or has an excessive amount of shade. Moss in the lawn isn’t always a bad thing, but it can prevent turfgrass from forming deep roots.

Professional equipment adapts to different terrains, ensuring thorough aeration across all lawn areas.

When you don’t aerate your lawn, the soil will become more compact over time. This limits how much water can soak in to reach the roots of your grass, and it keeps oxygen and carbon dioxide from the plant roots. This can limit grass growth, which may sound great for limiting mowing, but it also leads to a lawn full of grass that looks dull and sparse. Eventually, compacted soil can weaken grass, while also making it more vulnerable to pests, diseases, and erosion and even causing it to die off.

The easiest way to rough up soil to accept grass seed and provide the best opportunity for its growth is to make several passes over the area with a garden tiller and rake away the loosened vegetation and debris. However, in some cases, very hard ground may require using a shovel or pick to break up pieces into smaller chunks that the tiller can handle more easily.
