Jason and Zach removed all the cracked tiles and replaced them with new ones (we had them left over from building the house). Zach returned later to match the grout to the various colors it had become after 13 years of wear in different parts of the house. He did an outstanding job. No one could tell where the replacements were placed. The problem: John, the owner, promised us that the work would be done with a "wet method" which would allow no dust to escape. This did not happen. The sticky dust was all over the house. They did throw sheets over some of the cabinets near the work areas and used big fans to blow some of the dust out of the house, but dust was everywhere and very difficult to clean up. In addition, a living room window was left open in their hasty cleanup and we didn't discover it for two days. We are very satisfied with the finished work but did not appreciate the cleanup required by us! This review was written by Helen Tenney. They were prompt and responsive in giving me their estimate, unlike some other flooring installers here in Bryan. The office staff is pleasant, prompt and friendly. When their installer arrived to begin putting down the floor, he discovered the slab wasn't level at all and needed to be floated. Greg Zwernemann, the owner, was here at the house within 15 minutes. He said this happens perhaps once in every hundred jobs. They HAD to fix the wavy slab - can't put a new floor on an uneven surface. It took 70 bags of self-leveling concrete. Greg gave me a break on the cost. He said he wasn't making any profit on this part of the job. I want to point out that, although the total cost was quite high, their charges for installation were extremely reasonable. Most of the cost was because I chose to install walnut flooring, which is among the most expensive on the market. Then, when I was moving in, the movers caused a significant amount of damage to MY BRAND NEW FLOOR. They dragged furniture instead of carrying it. The moving company tried every which way to weasel out of accepting responsibility. Greg interceded on my behalf and got them to make it right. The repair work was done so well you would never even guess the floor had been damaged. Another thing they did was send Hugo to put down a few tiles that were needed when I pulled some cabinets in order to have a gas range installed in place of an electric cooktop. Hugo was here for maybe 15 minutes. Perfect tile installation. Gosh, he's good! I'm contemplating a bathroom remodel and if that comes to pass I will specify Hugo from Zwernemann for the tile work.
Jeremy and Shane, owners, were excellent to work with. Everything they said they would do was done...including providing a timely estimate. My questions were promptly answered. And most importantly are my top two items: the work cost was what they said it would cost and they showed up...
I had a horrible experience with this company. Not only did they damage some almost brand new furniture, I found them to be very shady when it came to making a claim, which they denied because I did not see the damaged furniture right away. Some furniture they left without removing the paper...

Custom cabinets are worth the investment to transform the look of your kitchen with a design, color scheme, and aesthetic that’s unique to your home. If you’re looking for cabinets that reflect your personality but are more cost-effective, semi-custom cabinets are a great alternative that allows you to showcase your style, but with pre-made cabinets instead of fully custom. Custom cabinets also provide a 70 to 80 percent return on investment, making them a worthwhile purchase.
There are a few key differences between custom and semi-custom cabinets. While custom cabinets offer complete customization, semi-custom cabinets are less personalized, offering fewer paint color, finish, and hardware choices. In addition, custom cabinets typically take longer to install due to the build time, whereas semi-custom cabinets are prefabricated and therefore faster to install.
If you're looking for ways to save money on custom cabinets, there are a few ways to cut costs without sacrificing beauty. For starters, comparing door styles to choose the most cost-effective option is a great way to save money on the overall project.
In addition, choosing a common wood species versus an exotic one will lower the price. Woods like oak and hickory are often more affordable wood choices, and the same goes for knobs, pulls, and other finishes where picking a commonly available style can reduce costs.
Custom cabinets cost between $500 and $1,200 per linear foot on average to install. Factors like materials, size, and type of cabinet doors you choose significantly affect the overall cost.
For example, a basic slab cabinet door can cost $60 to $70 for materials alone. As its name suggests, this material is a piece of wood with no unique features. However, a mullioned glass inset panel door, which features a designed glass panel, ranges from $100 to $200 for materials per cabinet door.
Like most special-order items, custom cabinets have several pros and cons to consider when buying new cabinets. Custom cabinets are typically more expensive than prefabricated cabinet options, but the work often reflects the quality. Custom cabinets tend to last 20 or more years, but the time it takes to install them is typically longer than other cabinets—roughly 6 to 8 weeks on average from the time of ordering. However, a major benefit is the ability to personalize every aspect of your cabinetry, from cabinet hardware to custom paint colors.
