"We hired El Catrin Tile Servoces after receiving several other bids ok our project. We needed a 600sqft guest apartment tiled including kitchen backsplash and shower tile. They came in at less than half the cost of the competitors and were able to start immediately. Throughout the project, they checked with us to make sure everything was as we wanted. They even picked up our items from the tile store in San Antonio so we didn’t have to make the drive from Floresville. They pretty much remodeled our guest house in a week. Awesome workers and GREAT GREAT pricing! They even installed crown molding in a room for only $50 extra! Would def hire again."

"We did quite an extensive home upgrade - moved plumbing, moved walls, changed ceiling and walls texture, added windows, and completely gutted the exterior garage to turn into a nice insulated workshop. Innovo Rennovations listened to everything we asked for and offered suggestions when needed. They are wonderfully flexible to work with and strive to deliver a quality product. We reported some things we were not happy with at the final walk through, but Kurt and team rallied everyone quickly to fix everything without any further issues. They stand behind the work, they deliver, and are great to work with."

"They supplied new double paned windows that were cat 4 hurricane rated. The windows were tinted and can be cleaned from the inside, both top and bottom. Instillation was done very professionally. They kept us informed of how and what they were doing. The old windows were removed carefully so there would be no damage to the casing. The new windows installation went without a problem. The window openings had been measured prior, so when they were installed they fit perfectly. The space between the casing and the windows were filled with expanding foam. All of the windows were caulked, inside and out. When they finished, the clean-up was quick and efficient. The house looked great, as if nothing had been done except we had new windows on the house."

"Our master bathroom tiled shower was leaking from the corner that adjoins the bedroom.  George responded quickly to my inquiry and came over the next morning to take a look.  He confirmed our suspicions that it was most likely a shower pan leak.  He was upfront about labor cost to demo the shower and install a new custom shower.  Demo was completed within a couple days and he rolled right into creating us a great shower.
Only unexpected costs during the process was a plumber subcontractor to repair a previously installed mis-aligned drain.  We decided while the wall was open to take the opportunity to change out the shower valve for new fixtures and raise the shower head.
Overall, George did a great job keeping the worksite and our home clean throughout the demo and construction process.  He was punctual and always willing to provide advice and guidance on remodeling choices.
The end result is a great custom shower.  We will definitely look to him for future projects!

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, tile floor removal is a physically demanding project that takes between eight and 12 hours per 100 square feet. It also requires protective gear and closing the area off with construction-grade plastic sheeting to avoid dust and damage to other parts of your home.

Per the International Code Council, walk-in shower floors should have a minimum slope of 1/4-inch per foot (or a 2% slope) towards the drain. The slope should be no steeper than 1/2-inch per foot (or a 4% slope). This helps safely direct water into the drain rather than all over your bathroom.

Yes, tiling a bathroom is a great way to boost your home's value, especially if you are replacing old or dated flooring. Adding a new tile floor can deliver a return on investment (ROI) of around 56.4%, with some projects offering up to 100% ROI. Buyers appreciate new tile because it provides a modern look and is known for being durable, water-resistant, low-maintenance, and easy to clean. For the best results and highest return, consider hiring a professional, as tiling mistakes can be very noticeable and detract from the value.

You can often find many types of peel and stick tile at big-box home improvement stores. Other places to shop for this type of material include home decor websites, other types of big-box stores, and even directly from the manufacturer. It’s a good idea to order a tile sample first to see how you like the look and feel before installing it.

When considering the types of grout for your project, unsanded grout is the best choice for penny tile. Unsanded grout can fit better into narrow spaces, like those between the small penny tiles, and it’s easier to smooth out for a seamless finish. However, if you’re unsure, check with a tile installation pro to determine which grout is best for your specific project.
