The job involved removal of the asphalt shingles and then remove the old wood shakes roof that was underneath the asphalt shingles. Quite a job with a lot of labor just to remove the old roof. After removing the old roof, then installed a new roof deck of OSB with radiant barrier, premium felt, premium shingles, upgraded ridge, new drip edge, metal valleys, new lead roof jacks and vents, and a new custom chimney cap made to match the original that was damaged by the hail. They also improved the attic ventilation by adding additional soffit vents. Very nice job with good workmanship. Good cleanup after the work. Had a couple of very minor cosmetic issues and they returned quickly and fixed them. Robert Ross, the salesman, was great, kept us informed all along the way, answered any questions, and was always available by cell phone and email, and really stayed on top of the job to make sure everything was as it should be. We learned that the same manufacturing team that supported the Leather Center was now associated with the Luxury of Leather, therefore we had high expectations for our replacement sectional. We visited the showroom at Park and 75 on several occasions and always obtained excellent customer service. The sales team allowed us to bring home a few leather samples to assure the color would work. We decide on a sectional style and leather grade/ color. The ordering and delivery process went smoothly. Delivery was very timely. The negative is the quality. The sectional sits in the middle of the room and the back is exposed. Quality of the back is very important since it is visible. The leather on the back has not been installed properly. Instead of being taught it is sagging and wrinkled. The silver metal clips that hold the pieces of the sectional together (at the bottom) show because the pieces are not flush. We did not report this to the store because after reading the reviews of unsatisfactory repairs we decided that if this is the quality inspectors allowable acceptance criteria, then having it reworked doesn't guarantee it will be any better. Also, sending it back could make it worse or damage something else - which was a huge deterrent. Finally, we did not want to be without furniture for an unknown amount of time. I am not sure of the alternatives available for custom leather furniture, but it may be worth investigating."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/carrollton/the-luxury-of-leather-reviews-321981.htm"},"position":10}]}

"After 20 years of multiple home remodels in two states, we have never written a negative review for anyone. We decided to make an exception for IronWood. My wife and I selected IronWood for a small staircase railing remodel in our home. Juan Rodriguez responded immediately and came right out. We were sold on his pitch of IronWoodâ s quality, years of expertise, and turnkey service. We approved the quote of $6,850, paid a 50% deposit, and provided a detailed sketch of what we wanted. We asked if they would provide us CAD drawings, a typical process for anything custom-fabricated, and he informed us they only do drawings for new-build homes and not remodels. Fabrication would go off our drawings. Thankfully, I am an industrial designer so that was no issue for me to supply sketches with enough detail to build from. Or so I thought. Quality of finish â Straight unacceptable To be clear, our expectation is not perfection, but we would like something on par with price and of professional standards. IronWood has a â wing itâ , â close enoughâ mindset about fit and finish. Not only was the design we submitted not followed, simple measurements were wrongâ ¦ like consistent spacing of welded spindles. Gaps were so bad they had to break welds, reposition, and cut new holes in our brand NEW wood treads just so they looked more consistent. Then they never filled the holes at the floor from the old spindles which remain the most unattractive part (seen in photos). As well as the tread stain which clearly doesn't match in color or sheen. Communication â Below professional standards Communication between sales guy, office coordinator, and skilled trades were inconsistent and resulted in confusion and wasted time. Juan never returned to our home to inspect the quality issues with his trades. If your project goes as ours did, youâ ll be project managing it by yourself. Transparency â Nonexistent If you have any issues, good luck contacting someone within IronWood to complain. Juan flat out refused to tell us who his manager is or have them call us about the issues we experienced. Responsibility - Lacking After Ironwood attempted a â fixâ (yesâ ¦ these photos were taken after their â fixâ ), we asked another contractor to quote finishing the project to the point of acceptability. The team at Mosian, who has 40 years of award-winning remodeling experience, was shocked by what we were left with. Their quote was $970 to fix all the issues left by IronWood. Today: Pay us, or else! After all the emails, time wasted (project sitting uncomplete at day 45), and nearly a grand still needed to finish, we felt IronWood should deduct the $970 off our balance. Instead, they offered us $500 and threatened credit action if we didnâ t pay the rest. My wife and I know what to look for, and what to expect, as a finished product from home improvement trades, but with IronWood, BUYER BEWARE."

FAQs for metal fabrication and restoration projects in Hurst, TX
Metal fabrication is a large umbrella term that can include bending metal, welding, cutting, stamping, drilling, forging, and casting. Metal fabricators often have quite a few pieces of specialized machinery and experience in the different forms of fabrication, which means they’re able to handle many different forms of metal work. An experienced metal fabricator might be able to tackle everything from creating metal siding or roofing from raw materials to constructing a custom wrought iron fence.
The average hourly rate for a metal fabricator is around $70, but the scope of your project will play a big role in your total costs. A good way to get an estimate for your metal fabrication project is to multiply the cost of raw materials by four. A quarter of your total typically goes toward material, and three quarters goes toward labor. Some factors that can influence your metal fabrication costs include the difficulty of your project, the metal you’re using, and your specified design.
A welder is a metal worker that uses heat and specialized tools to bind metal together, while a sheet metal worker more often uses cold methods to bend thin sheets of metal into shape for siding, roofing, or some other application. A metal fabricator might use one or both of these metal working techniques, along with others, to provide a wider range of services. In many cases, a metal fabricator is the most likely to be able to handle your metal project.
