Honestly ... the most amqazing home repair work I've ever experienced. Unlike all the other companies I called, Tommy, the owner of NDD, had me tske several pisctures of the wood rot in my door, asked me s few pointed questions, then described my options, and suggested what he could do to solve the problem. He also quoted a price. He did not need my credit card, just my street address. We settled everything in minutes by text. Tommy arrived the next morning and was gone before noon! The only evidence that he'd been there were two new garage doors and a perfectcly clean garage floor. Tommy and his company are the best!

unfortunately my experienced with them was less than pleasant, to put it mildly. The first repair, NDD Tech came to repair the garage door. He fixed the door rollers and placed a bar across the garage door to fix a bend in two panels. I opted not to fix the door instead just repair it, especially since I was told that the issue of door not sliding up and down was broken motor. I paid 200 for that repair and decided to repair the motor later when I have funds for it. Few days later The Roller he placed started coming off the rail again, which was not a big deal since I opted for a repair instead of a replacement. So I put the Roller back in the rail myself and started handling the garage door carefully. . Few months later I called them to come fix the motor. he sent me a brochure listing prices of multiple product grades,: 1- 1/2 hp chain, and one remote ==> 385 2- 1/2 hp chain, 2 remote and myQ App ===> 439 3- 3/4 hp belt, 2 remote and myQ App ===> 489 and other more expensive options I wasn't interested in I decided on option 2 because It has the App which would add to the value of the house and I don't want to spend 500+.for the belt set. I also had a small piece missing from the garage doors rubber seal, I was hoping we could patch the missing part, but Tommy said the whole thing has to be replaced $3/ft x 16 ft. I said OK. Tech came replaced motor and rubber seal. when I went to inspect his work, the new rubber seal was not flush with the ground letting daylight coming from outside. Tech said there is not much he can do about it and blamed the foundation not even, despite that the old seal was flush with the ground except for the missing piece. I asked him to help me setting up MyQ App, he said that it was not his job to set MyQ and told me to download the App and do it yourself and that it was easy to do, I was like OOOKey, I thought MyQ App was part of the deal. But I didn't want to argue with him thinking it was a simple thing to do. I paid him and he was gone. When I tried to go through the App setting, I noticed something was missing, and things didn't make any sense as the App was asking for MyQ Serial Number which I couldn't find anywhere on the unit or in the documentation he gave me. I called Tommy, he first sounded ready to help, so I didn't want to mention the issue about rubber seal not going flush with the ground. But He too sounded perplexed by the setup of the App feature and asked for some time to do some research. After a few min he called and said it was a mistake in the brochure and the motor that he sent me doesn't come up with wi-fi preinstalled and that I have to buy an extra wi-fi adapter to get the MyQ to work, the cost of which is about 60 dollar. I told him but the deal was that myQ App is supposed to be included with service grade I picked, otherwise why would I pay an extra 65 dollars? He then start becoming condescending and accusing me of trying to solicit giveaways. I was like sorry I paid the prices you asked for even though the quality of workmanship was poor: 1- Rollers coming loose after repair 2- Newly installed rubber seal was not flush 3- Refusing to help with MyQ install, instead just trying to get paid cutting loose and now you can't even fulfill your end of the agreement and to top it off you are accusing me of soliciting giveaways. I always believe in supporting local small business, but NDD is a big reason why small business are not able to make it against big corporates. Most can't stand behind their words and prefer few extra dollars of profit over winning the customer satisfaction and a number of referrals.

We called and wanted to have the garage tune up and lock installed.  Tommy is willing to accommodate our time and came out in very short notice.  Work was done nicely and efficiently.  He is very polite and professional.  This is our 2nd time using their service.  They charge fairly, we compared them with other companies and they gave the best quote.

I am a customer for life, Tommy is the only person you need to call when you have a garage door issue. This is the second time I have used North Dallas Doors, the first time Tommy saved me thousands. I called a company that I found online this is before I was a Angie's List member. My garage door had come off the track and almost crushed my car, the repairman comes out takes a look at my door and tells me that I need to replace the whole door and all of the assembly. He pits a quote together for thousands of dollars, and like a sucker I am ready to bite the bullet and have him do it. But by the grace of God I listen to my wife, she says call this guy her friend used for a second opinion. I call Tommy and tell him my problem, he says he can fix it and it will cost under $200.00. He ask for my address 15 minutes later he is here, twenty minutes later the door is all fixed and working great for less than $200.00. He told me that a lot of the installers/repairmen for bigger companies are contractors, they don't make a lot on a service call so they try and do and up-sell to make money. I wish I could remember the name of the company here in Plano to warn you all off.
Today's repair: I noticed on Sunday afternoon that one side of the spring was broke on our door, so I called Tommy to leave a message to get on the schedule. He answered and scheduled a time between 12 and 1 today. He arrived 15 minutes before noon, took a look at the broken spring told me I could choose to replace just the side that was broken. Or both sides at once to save on the labor, he gave me a choice between the five year spring or the heavy duty one. I chose to go with the larger springs for both sides. We open and close or door way more than the average 3 to 4 times a day. Myself, Daughter and son hung out in the garage and watch Tommy work, the whole time he was friendly chatted away and even wrote the cost on the ground with my sons chalk when he handed to him. The best part is he programed my wife's mini van link button to the door. I had tried several times with no luck, he discovered that button 1 was broken so he used #2.
Like I said there is no one else you should call other than Tommy for your garage door needs. I referred a coworker to him with great results. Tommy is fare in his pricing and will only do the work that is needed in a quick time frame. I would recommend him to anyone of my friends...

Spoke to Tommy (owner) at 8:15pm on Monday night and he was at my house the next morning by 9:00am. He located the issue on the electric wood gate and sent his partner Greg to repair the problem. Greg was at my house by 11:15am and replaced the parts needed by 12:30pm. They both provided outstanding, excellent service!! They are a very professional company and highly recommend them to anyone needing repairs/replacements on gates and garage doors. Thank you to Tommy and Greg for your outstanding service!!

We called Tommy at 7:30 am and he was at our house by 10:30. Quickly replaced the torsion spring and also noticed some problems with our electronic gate and he repaired it as well. He was very professional and courteous and we would definitely use him again. Completed all work within one hour.

After receiving two recommendations from colleagues at my work, I called North Dallas Doors and spoke to Tommy Burt at 11:05 AM. By 11:30 AM, he met me at my home and provided a quote. He did not try to sell me a new garage door opener in addition to the 3 big springs that needed to be replaced like another company tried. (I have a double cedar plank garage door which require heavy duty springs). Yes the springs were costly but this is no ordinary garage door. I figured the cost was going to be a lot..
He was able to service my garage the next day and met my father at my home. My father arrived at 9:25 AM and Tommy was already there ready to get to work! (He mentioned that he would be there between 9:30 - 10:00). It is rare to see this punctuality. He installed/serviced the 3 springs within an 1 1/2 and now my garage door runs smoothly. I HIGHLY recommend Tommy and North Dallas Doors. Not only was Tommy punctually, he was friendly, professional, and took the time to show my father everything he did. I do feel the price was reasonable and I will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone that needs their garage door serviced/repaired.
Even my father was impressed and he is a tough cookie! Great job North Dallas Door and Tommy Bert!

Called Tommy @ North Dallas Doors at approx 830am. I explained that one of thew two torsion spring had snapped that morning when my wife left for work and he said he'd be in the area later that morning. He arrived at 1030am, we discussed the issue, and he suggested both springs be replaced as a pair. I agreed, and he immediately got to work.
Removal of the springs, installation of the new springs, lubrication of the hinges and wheels... and he was done in roughly 20 minutes. We tested everything and it worked as expected.
Tommy was great to work with, was very professional, and the fact he arrived so quickly after my call was wonderful. Will not hesitate to call Tommy again in the future for any garage door related repairs.

Tommy came out within a few hours of my call. I appreciate that he recommended fixing the existing system vs. buying a new one. And it is now working better than ever - it is much quieter! He was punctual, knowledgeable, efficient and personable. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will recommend him to all of our friends.

I heard something pop and all of a sudden the door just stopped and was crooked and looked as if it was going to collapse on my cars. I called Tommy and he arrived to our home within an hour.
I really thought that I was going to have to replace the door this time, but Tommy fixed the problem in a short period of time and it works (and looks) like brand new.
I have used Tommy a few times before and can't imagine ever using another company. He is professional, trustworthy, friendly, priced fairly, prompt and basically an all around good guy. I highly recommend using this company.

We have used North Dallas Doors several times over the years and have always received outstanding service. Once again, we had a great experience! We had been having problems getting our garage door to open and close with our remotes. Even though our issue wasn't urgent, Tommy arrived at our house within about an hour of my call. He quickly diagnosed the problem and provided several options for addressing it, along with the estimated costs. Once we decided how to proceed, he installed our new receiver and keypad, reprogrammed my car and told me step-by-step how to reprogram our other car and change the code for the keypad. Of all our service providers, Tommy is the most responsive, and we will definitely call him in the future for any garage door related issues.

Over the last several years we have used North Dallas Doors on three occasions. Each time Tommy has responded quickly and professionally and performed quality work. Even this time, on a weekend, Tommy was able to quickly schedule the appointment and get the work done for us. I would happily recommend North Dallas Doors to my friends!

Tommy Burt is one of the most customer service oriented person I have come across. I called him about 7:00 the Friday night before he came out to fix my garage doors. I figured I would leave a voice mail message and ask him to call me on Monday to set up an appointment. Instead, he answered the call. He offered to come out and take a look to see if if he could repair the door rather than replace it. But, since he had already repaired my double garage door a couple years ago, I wanted to have it replaced instead. We went over my replacement options, he quoted me a price and set up an appointment for the following Tuesday. He arrived at the time he said he would with the replacement door panels I had asked him to order. He was concerned at first since they were not the same color as the ones he was replacing and offered to order different ones, but I told him I had him order the ones I wanted. It took him less than a couple of hours to complete all the work. When he was done he gave me a bill for exactly what he had told me it would be. It was a simple, easy job from start to finish be cause Tommy made it that way. He is so easy to work with and is always very pleasant!

At approximately 5:30 in the afternoon, my son told me our garage door would not open and that he thought the spring had broken. I immediately logged into Angie's List to find a service provider. I read the references and ratings of several and picked 2. I thought both were probably closed for the day, so I sent emails. Tommy Burt, at North Dallas Doors called me within minutes. He said he was at PETCO with his kids, but he would take them home and come right over. I told Tommy I didn't want to pay an after hours fee and I could wait until the next morning. He explained there would be no extra fee. Before I knew it, here came Tommy. He determined the problem, quoted me a price and went to work. In less than 30 minutes he was done. He replaced my existing spring with 2 new ones and serviced the door. The door now operates better than it ever has. Tommy handed me a lifetime warranty for parts and labor and away he went! I definitely would used Tommy again!

I called Tommy at 8:30am and he told me he could be at my place around 10-10:30. He called when he was near the home and arrivled shorty before 10am. He fixed or replaced what was needed and was finished in less than 45 minutes. He was professional and was very friendly. The pricing was excellent and I would recommend him to not only friends but family as well. I couldn't be more pleased.

Our torsion spring broke on Saturday - after hearing a loud bang in the garage, we went to go check and the door wouldn't open. We chose to stay home that night since both cars were stuck in the garage and I couldn't help my husband get it open. We called Tommy on Sunday morning and scheduled for him to come out that afternoon. (He did offer to have someone out within the hour - but we weren't any rush to go out) He called on his way over that afternoon - he was very professional and had the door fixed in about 45 minutes. He also programmed my husband's home link in his car since we had just moved in recently. We are very satisfied with Tommy's work and will use his services again whether for a repair or replacement.

We have an older home with a detached garage and wanted new (old-fashioned looking) doors. The garage however, being 80 years old, was not exactly plumb and also had low overhead for the doors and openers clearance. Tommy installed the doors and openers on a Sunday, because he wanted to make sure he did a good job and was not interrupted. They are so smooth. It's exactly what we wanted.
