Taylor & Company was started on the things that were missing in a job. With over 25 years in the construction industry, we have seen a lot of missing elements in the overall scope of projects. This will not be the case with Taylor & Company CR. .We have you covered start to finish. Our company consists of 8 employees, as well as other subcontractors. "This guy named Chad came out to my home a couple of months ago to replace a kitchen garbage disposal, kitchen sink, and the fixtures with new ones that I purchased. I chose him because he had some good reviews on another site. He seemed to be very nervous when he first came, but I figured it was because this was his first time coming to my home. He arrived around 10:30am. Being that I'm not comfortable with inviting people in my home, I stuck around to watch him. I asked him how long he had been doing this type of work and he made claims that he was certified and he had been doing it up north for about 5 years. The kitchen sink was a basic sink, and I replaced it with a newer upgraded one(Still pretty basic, but a little nicer). Due to my old garbage disposal, leaking it completely messed up the floor underneath my kitchen cabinet. So he measured that area and went to HD to get new board for the bottom of the kitchen cabinet. He wanted to put some type of plastic material underneath, but I wanted wood. So after he made it back, he begin to work. The first thing that he tackled was the wood floor, which I appreciated. That seemed to go pretty good. Then he switched out the kitchen sink, disposal and fixtures. I noticed that he was struggling with the fixtures and disposal because after all the new fixtures were installed I notice that water was leaking from the hot/cold faucets and spout. I also noticed water on the new board that was installed. After looking in the box and noticing some rings/ gaskets laying in plastic; he say" Maybe these go on the faucets. I thought that these were just extras that they put in the box". That's where I started to panic a little, because anyone would know that if these pieces are in the box; more than likely they were due to be installed on the new fixtures during installation. It seemed as though he fixed whatever was leaking from the disposal or so I thought, but the spout was still leaking(he couldn't seem to make it stop). After I made a call to MOEN to see if there was any defects with the spout he decided to untighten the base and notice that he left some plastic on the base that was supposed to have been removed before installing. The job ended up taking 5 hours to complete. So after I reimbursed him for the board and paid him he left. For extra protection, I bought a waterproof mat to put underneath the sink. I am so glad that I did because a couple of weeks ago I notice some water on the mat. After cleaning it up I decided to buy a bucket underneath and called this guy to come back out to fix the leak coming from the disposal. I have left at least 5 voicemails as well as sent text messages and I have a bucket underneath my sink that is half full with water. Thank goodness, I had enough common sense to put a bucket underneath because the floor would've been ruined. Unfortunately Chad is not returning any of my calls and texts...so I wanted to warn others that he is an absolute crook. He is extremely unexperienced and unprofessional. It makes me wonder if the reviews that I found were even real. He probably had his wife and himself to pose as different people to come off as a reputable person to do business with. I will be reporting him to the bbb, and I will be posting on other sites. Please stay away if you don't want a botched project!!!"

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Not all wood that’s been softened by termites needs to be replaced. You may be able to salvage wood using a wood hardener instead of replacing beams. However, you’ll need to hire a structural engineer to assess the damage and the overall stability of the wood before making a replacement plan.

New builds, remodels, and additions often necessitate professional framing expertise.

Warped wooden landscape timbers are the result of the wood taking in too much moisture and then drying out. Treated lumber is less likely to warp but may still be susceptible to changes due to moisture. You can reduce the risk of warping by treating the cut ends of your timbers with a product specifically made for waterproofing wood.

Yes, you can hammer a nail into a wall stud. But before you do, it’s important to confirm that you’re actually nailing into a stud—and not wiring, pipes, or ductwork. To check, find a few more studs in the wall, then measure to make sure they’re either 16 or 24 inches apart.

Yes, professionals re-mount and realign antennas for optimal signal reception.
