"Del Mar Home and Remodeling were great listeners! They understood exactly what I wanted and even provided their own thoughts on color choice (which I preferred over my color choice). They were very professional and communicated quite often. I was extremely satisfied with the end results! I highly recommend Del Mar for any home remodel!"

"Israel was the guy that came to clean my carpets from Reliable Carpet Cleaning and he was great. He was very nice and he did a great job on our rugs. He also tried to help me get the red pen off our white leather sofa, thanks to my son.. I didn't even ask he just came over and helped. I will call them again for service and will recommend them to anyone needing carpets cared for. Thank you for making these carpets look better than they ever have!!"

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

You can save money on labor costs by removing your old carpet before the professionals come in to install the new carpet. Just make sure to clear it with your contractor ahead of time. You might also be able to cut costs by buying carpet at certain times of year when it’s less expensive. These periods include late December to mid-January and late spring to early summer.

Yes, laying laminate over carpet may void the warranty of your flooring. Most laminate manufacturers specify installation over a suitable subfloor, not carpet. Deviating from these installation guidelines can invalidate the warranty. You should stick to the manufacturer's instructions to ensure warranty coverage, and you should always consult with professional laminate flooring installers near you if you have any concerns or questions regarding installation methods.

Yes, professional installation services often include the removal and disposal of old flooring, which can include materials like carpet. This process may also involve preparing the subfloor for the new installation. It is recommended to confirm the full scope of the service with your provider.

New carpet installation offers warmth, comfort, and aesthetic appeal. It can improve indoor air quality by trapping dust particles and provides a sound-dampening effect, which is beneficial for creating quiet environments.

If the installer is unwilling to fix the problems and you’re not interested in seeking remediation, you could hide a visually unpleasant floor. This will only work if the floor is structurally sound and the only issue you have is the way it looks. The easiest way to do this is to use large area rugs. You can also paint the floor, although that’s a labor-intensive job if you want to go the DIY route.
