You technically can paint wires in a basement ceiling, but there are several important safety and code considerations. For trim like door frames and window frames, use a brush to apply satin paint to ensure you get into all the nooks and crannies.

Spraying and brushing both can lead to beautiful, evenly painted window shutters. Spraying is faster and easier, but it brings in an added cost, as paint sprayers are around $100 to buy or $40 per day to rent. If price is a determining factor, you can use a brush and rest assured that the results will be good nonetheless.
