I've lived in Dallas for only a little while, but it already feels like home, I started this company because I wanted to be my own boss and build my own future. I am easygoing, I like to have fun with the process!. I most want my customers to know I always put myself in my customers shoes, treat their home like my own.

"Big Foot Lawn Services is a fantastic, affordable lawn care service. They came out and looked at my yard, gave me a reasonable quote, and took care of the job! They also looked at some of my house plants, recommended different additions to the solid, and made a bag of homemade soil for my potted plants! They are professional and straightforward. I’d recommend them to anyone who needs their lawn serviced or if they need any kind of specialty soils for their plants!"

"Great! They arrived at the time they promised. They were careful around my shrubs. The brick and siding of the house looked great and I was shocked at the difference having the driveway pressure washed made. I have asked them to contact me every 6 months to have it done again."

"When we bought our house we struggled to get rid of pet odor left behind by previous owners. No matter how much I mopped I could not get rid of the smell. Chambers Carpet Cleaning Services not only left my tiled floors cleaner than I had ever seen them but they got rid of the pet odor."

Deck Maintenance questions, answered by experts

Because adding a deck will yield a higher property value, you may have higher insurance costs. It’s important to follow the codes and regulations set by your local and state governments, so your insurance rates can be properly calculated. You may need an insurance revaluation after your deck is completed. The best course of action is to speak with an insurance professional to understand how adding a deck will impact your home’s insurance costs before you begin.

There are several methods for attaching stair stringers to a deck. The best way is to bolt the stringers to the deck joists using three carriage bolts in a triangular pattern. This method offers the sturdiest fit for stairs that won’t budge. Alternatively, attach the stringers to the deck rims using lag bolts or to the posts using adjustable slope hangers.

While the terms deck and porch are often used interchangeably, they are two distinct structures. A porch is a covered structure, usually attached to the front of a home, that offers protection from the elements. In contrast, a deck is an open, uncovered platform, often attached to the back or side of a home. Because porches have a roof, they typically require less maintenance than decks, but both features need regular cleaning and repairs to stay in good condition.

Some elevated decks require stairs that lead to the ground level per the local fire codes in some municipalities. In other regions, a staircase is an optional feature that can increase accessibility and convenience for homeowners who want ground-level access to their deck. Additionally, a staircase is necessary if your home doesn't have an existing door leading to the deck.

Yes, you can attach a deck to a mobile home, but it’s important that the work be done correctly to avoid the potential for major damage to your home. Many building codes require that any additions to mobile homes—including decks—be either freestanding or have their own support structures. Getting permits may require submitting the home's original floor plan, the proposed floor plan, framing details, and more.
