"Blake did an excellent and thorough job. We had a leak that he diagnosed and fixed which ended up being a roof issue. He repaired some exterior window framing and also installed new tile floors. He is very detail oriented and his work is impeccable. I have already referred him to neighbors and will definitely use him again."

"Two men showed up as scheduled to install the mount. They looked over where it needed to be placed, and talked through with us the right height for the TV. Had the mount and TV up in a short amount of time and cleaned up after themselves. Even hooked up some of the devices although they didn't need to. Would definitely use them again."

"Everything went perfectly. The electrician offered to do the work on Saturday (outside his usual Mon-Fri schedule), and he arrived promptly at the designated time of 10AM. Installation of both fans went off without a hitch. The base of the new fans were not quite as wide as the old ones, which left a small but visible hole in the ceiling, but he easily fixed that by installing two cover plates at a very nominal charge ($20 per plate). He programmed the remotes and confirmed that both fans were fully functional (responding to remote commands for turning on/off the fan and lights). He also took the initiative of mounting the brackets that came with each remote control into the wall to house them. He also hauled off the old units, which he did not have to do. I was very impressed with his professional courtesy and the close attention he paid to all details of the installation. His bid to do the work was much lower than any other offers I saw on Angies List ($75 per fan) and much lower than the $550 estimate I was quoted from another company (that will remain nameless). I will be using this company for any future electrical needs that may arise in the future."

Tv Mount Install questions, answered by experts

Yes, drywall can hold a 50-pound TV. However, when mounting a TV, you’ll either need to attach it to wall studs or use drywall anchors. If you use anchors, make sure to buy a type that can hold at least 50 pounds. Molly bolts, threaded anchors, and toggle bolts are all good options. For extra support, you can also install a wall mounting plate with the anchors.

Fire and electronics typically don't mix, but that doesn't mean you can't mount your TV on a brick fireplace. However, you should proceed with caution. If you do not use your fireplace regularly, you can be assured that your TV will remain undamaged. However, if you do take advantage of it, be aware that hot air, containing soot, will travel upwards. Even with the flue fully open, the temperature above the fireplace can still get very high.

Determining if mounting a TV on the wall or mounting it on a stand is better boils down to personal preference. TV mounts are an excellent choice for homes that have limited space, unruly dogs, or young children. They also allow you to customize the height and viewing angle more easily. At the same time, mounting a TV on an entertainment center stand offers additional storage space, a place to hide the wires, and fewer holes in the wall. Renters may also have limitations on drilling holes into the wall above certain diameters.

The VESA mounting standard refers to the layout of the mounting holes on the back of all televisions that follow the standard. These holes appear in the same place on all TVs of a certain size. This allows the mounting bracket and hardware manufacturers to build the brackets to fit the VESA standard. Ideally, if everyone follows the VESA standard, any brand of TV should fit any brand of mounting bracket, as long as the sizes match up correctly.

Coax cable connects to your television, modem, or cable box. Look for a female coax connection on these devices. Your coax cable will connect to any of these. The other end of the wire runs to the service connection coming into the house.
