flowing reviews listed on Angie?s list. I was in the process of getting a house ready to rent and needed the wood floors refinished. The work started on Tuesday morning, I meet an employee at my house, went over the job and gave them a key.
I show up at lunch Tuesday to do some work and an employee is going through my boxes and tools in the garage, I ask what is he doing and he tells me he is ?looking for something to weigh down the sander?? Wednesday afternoon I show up at my house, the leftovers from a chicken lunch are left on my back door steps. I had just purchased a new box of trash bags and I find the box open and some of their equipment is in the trash bags. Sunday I needed to apply more tile and I go to use my trowels I had left out to dry and they are covered with hardened wood filler! Their employees used my tools and because they didn?t clean them off I had to buy new ones! What gives their employees the right to go through their customer's stuff, uses the customer's tools and leave their garbage in the yard? I am so glad this was a house I was getting ready to rent and that I did not invite anyone from Carpet Outlets of Texas, Inc. into my home with all of my personal property in it. My experience with Carpet Outlets of Texas, Inc. employees is they have no respect for the customer?s personal space or property. I would advise against inviting anyone from Carpet Outlets of Texas, Inc. into your home.

The project began with painting the interior, including repainting a large section because the paint I chose was way TOO pink. They repaired several sheet rock areas that had been damaged over the years. Shored up a set of sagging cabinets and replaced wood returns that had been chewed by faithful dog , Panzer, when she was a pup. Replaced all carpeted areas with engineered vinyl and add painted shoe molding where needed. The painters, floor layers and carpenters where polite and friendly. They were competent and speedy. Willing to travel to Fort Stockton and or stay in Fort Stockton until job completed. (Trip Charge: $300.00, Hotel Charge: $300.00) ** We tried to use local contractors within Fort Stockton in order to support local businesses and bring $ back into the area so that all could prosper. Unfortunately, we were unable to keep any of the local contractors due to the lack of knowledge, quality of workmanship and expertise; making us look outside of the Fort Stockton area for contractors. We were thrilled to find a Master Electrician willing to come to Fort Stockton. ADVICE: Request an invoice with 'Labor Only'. Do not include 'Labor and Materials' in your requested estimate. By keeping the estimate isolated to labor only. You will be able to purchase the 'quality' items (lighting, switch plates, dimmer switches, ceiling fans, etc) that you, as the customer prefer.... If the invoice includes 'both' Labor and Materials... most likely you will be 'very disappointed' in the quality of the materials, which may not be to your liking... Keep the 'control' of what items are put into your home by keeping the estimate limited to Labor only so that you can shop and purchase your own materials and have the electrician install them... Additionally, make sure that anything that is discussed is listed in the invoice specifically; don't assume it will be added simply because you spoke with the contractor and they said o.k.... Make sure that on the initial visit with the electrician you have worked out 'every detail' of 'what you want and where you want it' installed so that you do not accrue additional charges later due to changing your mind. Not satisfied: We were not happy with the under cabinet lighting workmanship.... We stopped the work; repaired the walls where the holes were drilled for the electrical wires. We had a broken bedroom suite, entertainment speakers, china cabinet items, bookshelf and many more items were damaged. We contacted them about the damage and they said to send them pictures. We filled out a form for them as well. They e-mailed us a reply to apologize for this and so far have done nothing about it. My daughter is sleeping on the floor and they are dragging their feet. I would never use this company again. When a company agrees to service military families, their service should be the highest quality possible. The companies should realize that the military families experiences go far past just putting stuff in boxes and throwing it in a trailer. Pullen Moving Company thinks they can make a quick buck at the military families expense. What they don't know is they are causing financial issues with families that have to replace all the personal items they damage or destroy when Pullen doesn't cover the damages. Everyone has tough experiences in life, some tougher than others, dealing with companies that do the bare minimum when any company serving anyone no matter who they are should perform at their highest level each day. I hope no one has to experience the damage and loss to household goods & family collectible's. This is definitely a disappointment and because of their actions and lack of care, I will never use a moving company for my personal needs if I have to move from my current location. They said \" The US Army has yet to subrogate against us for the claim you are addressing us on because Mr. Pennington has not followed the regulation guidelines.\" Well maybe they need to do some research because according to Army Regulation when a mover (that would be Pullen) damages personal property, the moving company assumes full responsibility, not the Army. The moving company has to cover full replaceable cost or repair every item damaged not just the ones they chose to. I could use the Army in the claim process if I didn't want to claim against the moving company, but the Army would pro-rate my stuff so I would get even less for my damaged items. The bed & the dresser was both made of particle board. The places where they was damaged could not be safely repaired to make the bed safe for my daughter. They knew this but they also knew I was in a bind because since it was damaged my daughter was sleeping on the floor i n a sleeping bag and did this for over 2 weeks. The 3 drawer dresser new would have been 85.00, they only gave me 69.00. The bed set to include mattress was 429.00 they only gave me 214.50. They did cover the rest for the most part. But the bed set was the main disagreement and again the rules are if they cannot repair they have to replace. I guess I should have let them attempt to repair the bed, and when it broke and my daughter was injured, filed legal action against them. The base of the bed on one corner was cracked/shattered. Particle wood cannot be repaired once its damaged to that extend. Even the chief investigator at Ft Hood military claims office came out and looked at the bed and agreed it could not be repaired, North American that unloaded it also took pictures and also said it couldn't be put together because of the damage. I will also be contacting the military claims office and Surface Deployment and Distribution Command. They need to hear both sides of this story."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/va/woodbridge/pullen-moving-and-storage-reviews-2191847.htm"},"position":7},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"BIG BLUE BUILDERS","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TX","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Martha C."},"reviewBody":"Big Blue Builder is the most unprofessional company we have ever worked with. Joe was late every time and did not answer his calls or return phone calls. He left the first job unfinished without ever telling us what happened. He was unable to fix the crown molding back on the cabinets, and he left part of our cabinets with exposed unfinished sides. He was paid for a full complete job, and the job is not complete. I would have even been willing to pay more to get it finished, but after he finished the second job, he completely disappeared, and i was never even given the chance to complain. The Second job was even worse. We are having the following problems with the floor: (i) the tiles are cracking in a section of the floor (ii) floor is noticeably uneven, leaving sharp lifted corners (iii) some of the tiles installed are broken and some have jagged edges (iv) some grout lines are noticeably thicker than others, and there is grout missing by the fireplace. It is completely horrible for the amount of money we paid him. Our builder, as well as another flooring specialist, has confirmed that the tile was incorrectly cut and installed. I reported him to the BBB and will take him to court over the installation. Now we will have to buy new tile and completely redo the floor. The worst thing of all, is that instead of apologizing, he does not take any responsibility for his actions!"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/nc/charlotte/big-blue-builders-reviews-109197.htm"},"position":8}]}

"It went so well and they did exactly what the contract said that they would do. Our contract was specific that left nothing to misunderstand about what I wanted done or they to do. They were working with 24 year old oak cabinets and were exact in matching corners & fronts of those old cabinets. It all looks so good. I worked with the owners daughter. The owner was very nice also. The carpenters were a pleasure to work with. They did their work and then the owner would call or text me to ask it there was anything that needed their attention. The payment process was excellent in that it was all done on Intuit and could come directly out of my checking account."

Cabinet Refacing and Refinishing questions, answered by experts
Clean regularly, avoid harsh chemicals, and check hinges for proper alignment to ensure longevity.
It is possible to refinish your own cabinets, but it’s usually a better idea to leave the work to a cabinetry professional. Refinishing cabinets is a time- and labor-intensive process that involves stripping the old finish off, sanding down every face of the cabinets and doors, and then adding multiple coats of paint and protective finish. Not only is this hard work, but getting the final product to look clean and professional is challenging. An expert will be able to make quick work of the project and leave you with a final product you’ll love.
No, we don’t recommend using a steam cleaner on laminate surfaces, including kitchen cabinets. Steam can affect the structure of laminate cabinets, loosening the layers and causing them to warp. However, you can deep clean your laminate cabinets using other methods, such as soap and water or a vinegar mixture.
Sealing a cabinet after staining is optional but recommended for best results. Wood sealer keeps out moisture, which protects against scratches, warping, chipping, discoloration, and mildew. Sealer not only preserves the appearance of wood furniture but, like staining, enhances it by accentuating the wood’s natural color and grain.
No, and that’s why adding kitchen cabinets to the ceiling is popular! Whether you match the color of your existing cabinets or not, you can still paint your cabinet boxes with them attached to the wall—making this project much less invasive.
