Everything went well

Did a roof repair. I paid $3500. All they did was patch the area with tar. It still leaks and he said there is no warranty and I would have to pay for him to come back.

Everything went extremely smooth.  Workers were on time and polite.  They were very helpful and explained what needed to be done and how it would be done correctly.  They even hauled away things we were needed to get rid of that weren't part of their clean up duties.  A very professional crew did an excellent job.

This was not the first time we've used H Bond Construction. As always, they showed up when they said they would. In the past, they've remodeled our kitchen, built a covered patio, and remodeled our upstairs bathroom. Each time, they've been on time or early in completion and at or under budget. Like on previous occasions, nobody showed up unannounced, and any time a new crew came to the job site, someone at H Bond was there to introduce them to us. They are painstaking about being as non-obtrusive as possible and they clean up at the end of each day's work. We have always been pleased with their work and their willingness to work with us on the particulars of the project. Much of the improved value of our home is due to their fine work, and home has become a much more enjoyable place to be. Howard Bond seems to be quite particular about the kind of folks he subs some of the work specialties out to. These are people who enjoy their work and take obvious pride in the outcome.

It went well. It was a fair bid for an insurance quote.

The workmen arrived right on time. They protected the floors all the way from the front door into the bathroom. I appreciated that very much. Removal of the shower doors and installation of the grab bars was done properly. They were pleasant and cleaned up after themselves.
There were stains along the front edge and sides of the tub surround underneath the removed frame. Not surprised at that. One of the men called a cultured marble company and found the best way to deal with it was to buff it out. Nice of him to call for me.
The next morning I discovered the caulking they used to fill the holes left from the door frame removal had shrunk. I called Lori and she said they would fix it. Howard Bond was scheduled to come out for a remodel estimate on another bathroom within a couple of weeks. She said he would do it then so I went ahead and paid the bill. The bill states it is due on completion. And states and quot;All work is complete!and quot;
When he got here he said he wasn't going to fix the holes, I should have the buffers do that. He was right here. It would have probably taken maybe ten minutes to do it.
So I guess they're not going to finish what they started. Sad. I hired them based on reviews here on Angie's List.

Used great quality product, cleaned up well. However, found roofing nails left on roof, in gutters, and one in my tire. Visual damage done (likely during shingle removal) and not repaired to eves and corner of house at ground level.

They were very prompt, very professional and did good work. The owner came with the crew to make sure that everything started correctly, so I liked how he supervised the work and was actually there to make sure the job was handled properly. They were clean and neat. They cleaned up behind themselves, which is always appreciated, they didn't tear up stuff and not care about the mess they made but cleaned up well after themselves. The workers were very, very professional and courteous. They finished within the timeframe that they said, so they finished the job on time. The work they did was fantastic, I did ask them to quote me on another job and they never got back after that. I had looked into several companies, they were the most reasonable, and they priced the work well. They did a very good job, which is why I was shocked that they didn't call back for another job. The person that managed this job was very responsive. They did have to reschedule once but they called promptly to make sure I was aware that they wouldn't be there on the first scheduled date. They were very professional for the job that they handled. I want to use them but they haven't responded back and I am not sure what happened there.

From Beginning to end everyone was professional and responsive. Bond has an excellent relationship with his workers and contractors. Both he and his wife were very helpful in our decision making process.
The project began with painting the interior, including repainting a large section because the paint I chose was way TOO pink. They repaired several sheet rock areas that had been damaged over the years. Shored up a set of sagging cabinets and replaced wood returns that had been chewed by faithful dog , Panzer, when she was a pup.
Replaced all carpeted areas with engineered vinyl and add painted shoe molding where needed.
The painters, floor layers and carpenters where polite and friendly. They were competent and speedy.
Great job. You get what you pay for.

This company was the only one of five companies I called who returned my call!! They were friendly, professional and had someone out to give us an estimate in about 2 weeks, maybe sooner. They came out about 3 weeks after we agreed with their estimate. They showed up to work when they said they would. During the work we just left the door to our house unlocked and they came according to their time frame. When we happened to be home while they were working they took time to stop and talk to us, explaining everything and answering our questions. If we did have any questions someone always answered the phone or returned our call, their customer service is impeccable.
During construction one of the workers stepped on the ceiling fan that had been taken down and set on the floor, it was not usable after that. We picked out a new fan, bought it, and installed it, they deducted the price of the ceiling fan from the total bill. A couple pieces of the trim work were not straight after being nailed back on and a couple of pieces were not nailed well enough to stay on. But, that is picky stuff. The job went well and we were very satisfied. H Bond has our recommendation.

Not only did they fix the known problems, but they also identified another potential issue and fixed that problem as well. Highly recommended!

Mr. Bond came out to do a walk through so he could give an estimate, and he arrived right when he said he would and I got my estimate right when he said I would get it. We scheduled a time to start and the crew was there exactly when they said they would be. The guys were great about covering the floor and furniture in the rest of the house to protect it from construction dust and were careful to not let the dogs and cats out. They made sure to have functioning facilities in at least one of the bathrooms during the entire process, which was really nice. The job took about a week longer than they originally planned, but that was because they were waiting on a counter top. They made sure to keep me informed of any delays and any issues. The final product is awesome - both bathrooms look really great. I will call them when it is time to redo my old kitchen.

Shortly after I called, an estimate was emailed to me for my signature. In a couple of days, I emailed them to see when the work could be scheduled but I found when I dropped by the house later that day that it had already been done. The whole affair was professional and very straight-forward.

Good job. Estimated one week, ended up taking two weeks and two days. Problem could be with subs.

H Bond Construction was very responsive to phone calls and emails from the start of the bidding process to completion, unlike many of the other companies I tried. Their price was significantly lower than ALL four other companies I had give bids. In addition, they worked with me so that I could provide the materials and they did the labor. The whole job was done in a day. I was gone all that day, so I left in the morning and came back in the evening to a new roof. The whole process was painless, and I would use them again in a second.

Very prompt, service completed on time and well done. i have since used them again, at my new property and had the same excellent experience. In fact the service man came to give an estimate for a leaky window, and he made minor repairs at no cost!

I would recommend seeing an installed example. It would help in making the decisions. But I am very happy with the choices I made, though some might want a longer tub. My walk in is about five inches shorter and four inches narrower than the old tub, and there are longer and wider designs available.

In a large city you may find the tub you want in stock. We had to order mine, and it took about two weeks to arrive. When the tub delivery man arrived in town he called me. I immediately called Mr Bond, and the workers and the tub arrived at the same time.

They moved furniture around to make temporary room for the tub, and to prevent any damage to furniture in moving things in and out. And they put things back just where they were when they were through.

I was very satisfied with the whole process.

Went well. Called back, gave estimate, performed job all within a week and a half. I did this from out of town with leasor. All went well.

They were prompt, pleasant, did a really nice job and I am very happy with them.
