While Caesarstone countertops are heat-resistant, placing hot pots directly on them is not recommended. Extreme heat can cause thermal shock, potentially leading to cracks or discoloration. Always use trivets or heat pads to protect the surface and maintain its appearance and integrity. This precaution helps ensure the longevity of your Caesarstone countertop.

Epoxy is the best sealer for concrete countertops. It fills in gaps, rough areas, and imperfections for a smooth finish and will usually last the life of the concrete. Other options include acrylic and polyurethane sealers, which protect the countertops from stains but must be reapplied every few years to maintain proper surface protection.

Concrete countertops can last a lifetime with proper maintenance. That includes regular resealing, waxing, and repairing any chips or cracks. At a minimum, they should last 20 years before major issues occur or performance drastically declines. The longevity of concrete countertops is a major reason people add them to their kitchens. It also makes up for the high cost of installation and added maintenance.

It all comes down to rarity and demand. Granite rocks with unique patterns or rare colorways like red, purple, and blue are more expensive than traditional designs. However, we don’t recommend placing hot pots and pans directly on granite countertops. Even if it doesn’t scar the granite, it may damage the sealant.
