"The pocket door was a bit of a challenge. I thought I might have to buy a new set up but Joe fixed it very well. It only needs painted now. He also installed an exhaust fan/light in my guest bath and he did an excellent job. Base molding looks better now that it is tacked to the wall. Joe was great. I will request him for future repairs.

"The work was finished 4 weeks after the original dates set. They put in the tub and tile surround and said they fixed the leak. They did not check all of the pipes before putting in tub, so when the tub was filled and drained for the first time it leaked everywhere into the downstairs bathroom. This made a huge mess and then the entire ceiling had to be replaced. Which they charged us extra for. When they took out the ceiling they found the leak. Which we had talked about originally and they said they had fixed when new tub went in. We saved the toilet and the cabinet to the sink since it was hardwood and in good condition. I figured this would save us some money. We had a great deal of "extra" cost that was not included in the budget to begin with. It ended up costing us closer to 6000.00 dollars instead of the original 3500.00.
I was very disappointed with the overall cost and with the time frame. We were told it would take about a week. With the leak and additional repairs it was finally done about a month later. MY time is extremely valuable and part of the time issue was I couldn't be there at certain times. They really need to be more precise with their time management and budget setting. The work that was done was not up to par and it is now about 6 months later and the grout around the tub has cracked and I have to have someone else come in and redo some of the tile work as well and finish all of the edges because they were left just cut off which we have found to be dangerous. I would never recommend this company to anyone."

"I have used them for small things like wall sockets and ceiling fans, they don't replace faucets .I really thought about dropping them because
at 50.00/month and not using them that is $600.00 /year I could save. I guess I have Paid for 3 washers since I've used them. They could definitely be a benefit to so one with an older home. I give them a grade of A.

"We decided to sell our home and it needed a major facelift before we put it on the market. At the time my husband was deployed to Afghanistan and it was a daunting task for me to do alone. I received Billy (owner/operator) Quave's information from a friend and had him come over to talk about my plans. I was thinking it would cost a fortune and I had a very small budget that had to include carpet and installation as well. Billy came to my house we looked at each room and went over in detail what I was thinking, he was very helpful in letting me know what to expect and what all would be done through all phases; from prep work through to the finished project. We estimated it would take 7-10 full days to complete. It took only 7 he worked tirelessly with his crew from early until late to make sure my family wouldn't be inconvenienced for a long period of time and I was able to still utilize bathrooms and kitchen through the process. Before we began Billy and his wife came over and helped me finalize my decisions on paint and flooring; it isn't easy for to make decisions like that and their professional eye and opinion was really helpful with this! Each wall and my ceilings recovered two coats of paint after he had fixed all the dry wall issues, the colors they helped me choose made my house feel so big and so bright which is hard in a house without many windows. All my doors (including closets) were taken down, sprayed, and rehung. Flooring and other small things like light fixtures were done last. The job I was most impressed with though was my kitchen cabinets. I had very faded cherry stained cabinetry in the kitchen, I was so frustrated with them and was at the point where I wanted to just paint them instead of sanding and restraining. Billy suggested a steel wool treatment and a clear coat over them so I went ahead and let him try. They looked brand new, and were smooth and easy to clean. Everyone that has seen them before commented on how new they looked. I was so happy with everything and the load that was taken off of my shoulders from hiring veteran Construction to do this. I was able to put my house on the market 3 months sooner than I had anticipated, I also received full asking price. The two greatest things about the realty side; my realtor was so impressed with the house she had no suggestions for me to do anything to get it market ready AND the best thing .. I sold my home in under 30 days (24 to be exact) and received 3 offers my first on the 9th day. In this market, especially in this area most homes sit for 6 months to a year with a for sale sign out front. Had I not gone with this professional I know my home wouldn't have sold so quickly. Best investment I ever made in my home, wonderful professionals to work with and I came in under budget so they were very reasonably priced especially for the quality received. I would recommend Veteran Construction to anyone needing any kind of work in their home or business. Billy can literally do practically anything!"
Many different types of ceiling fans are available to cool down your home.
Standard ceiling fans are the traditional-style fans made from plastic, wood, metal, or fiberboard.
Smart ceiling fans allow you to control it with your smartphone or voice commands.
Dual-motor ceiling fans have two motors that produce more airflow in multiple directions.
Energy-Star ceiling fans are similar to standard fans but can be up to 60% more energy efficient than other fans, lowering your utility bill.
Large ceiling fans work best in large rooms where the ceilings are between 10 and 25 feet high.
If you need to install electrical wiring for your new ceiling fan, contact a local ceiling fan installer to help with this project. If you’re not a licensed electrician, installing wiring yourself could be a code violation. Even worse, this project can be dangerous if not done correctly.
However, if you’re replacing an existing ceiling fan, and you are an experienced DIYer, you may be able to install it yourself. This option might involve purchasing a special ladder if you have a vaulted ceiling. Replacing a ceiling fan yourself can save on labor costs, but if you aren’t handy, be sure to call a pro.
Not every ceiling fan is best suited for every room type. The size of the room dictates the size of your ceiling fan. Consult a ceiling fan installer to determine the right fan for your room and reference this sizing information:
Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan of 29 to 36 inches.
Rooms from 75 to 175 square feet require a fan of 42 to 48 inches.
Rooms from 176 to 350 square feet require a fan of 52 to 56 inches.
Rooms over 350 square feet require a fan of larger than 60 inches.
The time it takes to install a ceiling fan depends on whether you have existing wiring. If you’re swapping out one ceiling fan for another, it’ll take one to two hours for your ceiling fan professional to make the switch. However, if your ceiling fan installer needs to install wiring or if it's a difficult installation—places like high ceilings, porches, or attics—it could take up to four hours for complete installation.
The cost to install a ceiling fan is $250 on average, ranging from $85 to $605 or more, depending on the fan type and size and if additional wiring or switches are required.
Standard fans are typically the most cost-effective, ranging from $50 to $300 to install. Complex ceiling fans like rotational fans with a dual motor are usually the most expensive to install, ranging from $200 to $1,500. It’s important to note that installing a ceiling fan in a room without existing wiring is a very complex job that could cost up to $2,000.
