We reached an agreement based on exterior was to look like a new house. All personnel, particularly Alphonso and David, and subcontractors provided excellent work performed on a timely basis and the appearance is that of a new house. There were only minor problems and were taken care of promptly. My career was in construction and know the different levels of quality. Shane's work is top level and will certainly work with him again."

"Terrible experience! Incompetent crew. Ineffective salesperson (Mark). Project lead (Rene) was a ghost. A 3-4 day external house painting project turned into 3 weeks (3weeks!) of a trashed worksite. The crew was left unsupervised to handle prep work (repairs, primer, caulk, etc) and seemed reluctant to finish prep before painting. Called our point of contact (Mark) numerous times to ask for corrections and where was the project lead (Rene)? We actually had to lock up the paint because the crew just kept painting before all prep was finished! Lots of wasted paint, time, and materials. It came down to us finally asking for the owner’s contact info. Suddenly the project became important enough to complete & the project lead was onsite for the final 2 days. Owner (Ellis) said; “If I had known sooner, I would have sent a different crew.” What??! You sent us your D-team? Does another competent A-team exist? How effective is your salesperson as our point of contact? Why didn’t he keep you informed of all progress? Why did we need to call you? Not surprisingly, both owner and salesperson seemed very interested in NOT receiving a bad review. Right…. Job finally finished. Not worth the pain. Would NEVER recommend Southern Painting. Very unprofessional."

I have submitted a Formal Demand for Refund of Pre-Payment for Inaccurate Architectural Designs provided by Victor’s Remodeling and Construction and have now submitted this for Houston BBB to address since Victor himself does not have the intention to refund the pre-payment for unusable designs. This has been going on since August 2024. Victor's Remodeling and Construction has been a horrible experience here in Houston, TX. I would not trust them to deliver whatsoever. There are two ways to determine which renovation will add the most value to a house. One is based on money alone, and the other is based on the percentage of money spent versus money earned when selling the home. While these values vary, the best projects to add value based on percentages are exterior painting, replacing doors and windows, replacing the garage door, roofing replacement, and upgrading the siding.

You can use small bits that are up to 3/8 inch in diameter, or larger bits that are 1/2 inch or more in diameter. Make sure the bits you use are coated with carbide or diamond; this information is usually visible on the package. You can also use hole saw bits to drill into stucco.

The best stucco finish depends on your aesthetic goals and personal preferences. A fine cement-based finish is a crowd favorite because it’s easy to clean and resembles a painted home. Lace finish is another popular one that can conceal imperfections thanks to its detailed lace pattern.

If you're installing stucco in a climate with extreme weather, synthetic stucco may be the only viable option, as it lasts longer, is less prone to cracking, and resists moisture better. Traditional stucco is a suitable option in hot climates where moisture and rainfall are less common, so it’s a good option for affordability both up front and over time in these areas.

Inspect annually for cracks, clean with a mild detergent, and reseal or repaint as needed to preserve appearance.
