"Dom and his team were wonderful to work with. He kept me informed every step of the way, as I was having the work done in Texas while currently living in Washington state. Extremely trustworthy, knowledgeable and all at a fair price. (They extend a 5% military discount) While he has completed my current project of the interior painting, I will be using this company to paint the floor in the garage and the exterior painting on the house. I highly recommend."

"Our house was in need of scrapping, caulking, and repainting. John Quinn, the owner of All About Curb Appeal Painting gave us an itemized estimate and a timeframe. What he promised he kept. He used only high quality products. John Quinn is a gifted craftsman. After working with John I would 110% use him again and recommend him as my very first choice for exterior painting. A simple sketch by us of our house, and where the colors go helped us visualize. The work was thoroughly and beautifully done. The prep work and power washing he does on the first day, allowed to dry, and painted. He did our average size home in 3 days. We believe John is one of the best house painters in the whole valley."

"Chad and his team deserve the excellent workmanship reviews associated with them. I wanted to highlight the professional and personal integrity of them as well. This was displayed in communications ahead of time for an appointment and especially the man s word and handshake method in honorable business practices. I highly recommend Tree Solutions & Chad who provided their excellent services for a fair and reasonable rate."

I grew up working with my father who was a general contractor remodeling homes. It was a great skill to learn and now I use it to help people and teach my boys. I really enjoy painting, and have been told I am a perfectionist. That comes in handy, I take my time and perform the work/tasks the right way.

I've lived in Dallas for only a little while, but it already feels like home, I started this company because I wanted to be my own boss and build my own future. I am easygoing, I like to have fun with the process!. I most want my customers to know I always put myself in my customers shoes, treat their home like my own.

Painting questions, answered by experts

Moisture and rot are the largest threat to wooden fences. Stain can help your wood fence last 15 to 20 years, but only if you choose a stain with waterproofing qualities or add a sealant. Oil-based stains create a thicker moisture barrier than water-based stains, though both are mold and mildew resistant. You’ll generally need to re-stain your fence every one to eight years to get full protection.

Applying a sealer or topcoat after staining wood is highly recommended, though not always strictly required. A sealer protects the wood from moisture, UV rays, and weather-related issues, which is especially important for outdoor surfaces like decks and fences. It also enhances the stain's durability, prevents fading over time, and gives the wood a cleaner, more professional-looking finish. For some indoor applications, a sealer may not be necessary, depending on the type of stain used and the level of protection needed. It's always best to check the stain manufacturer's recommendations and consider the wood's intended use and exposure when deciding whether to apply a sealer.

Oxygen bleach uses hydrogen peroxide as a base and won’t harm wood when using it as a cleaner. On the other hand, chlorine bleach breaks down wood at the cellular level and causes irreversible harm. Although you may not see immediate damage to wood after exposing it to chlorine bleach, its strength and integrity are now compromised.

If you have the time and the budget, we strongly recommend staining your fence, especially if it's looking a bit tired or hasn't been treated recently. While you may not see the same return on investment (ROI) as you would with a project like a kitchen remodel, staining a fence is one of the best ways to add a facelift to your property—a new fence stain adds serious curb appeal to your home.

Preparation includes cleaning the fence, sanding any rough areas, applying a primer if necessary, and ensuring dry weather for application.
