"Jonathon was professional and assisted us with multiple projects. He installed a ceiling fan and helped us connect it to our phone. When a screw broke during installation, they promptly went to Lowe's to get a replacement. Afterwards, he installed a kitchen soap dispenser. I will definitely hire Jonathon again for future projects around the house"

"Cliff and team did an outstanding job.  He helps us with the following:  contacted locate service to determine all utilities within the the yard, helped arrange backhoe to dig the ground, coordinated the backhoe contactor with his schedule so everyone arrived at the same date and time, pipe repaired as well as he was willing to arrange sand to backfill around the new pipe installation to prevent future issues.  He was very professional and I feel he had our best interest in mind at all times.  Highly recommend Cliff and Morgan Leak Detection.  Have a plumbing issue call Cliff.

"The dishwasher fix - almost immediately identified that the guys who installed a new countertop recently had not fully turned the water back on after they finished. So THAT's why the dishes weren't getting clean!
The icemaker fix - quickly identified the problem and it's now working fine. The only reason I marked punctuality down is that there was miscommunication between the service guy and the office, to us, about when he would be back to complete the dishwasher repair. But not a major issue.
We've used these guys before to install a gas cooktop and they are smart, experienced folks who know what they're doing.

"They did a great job! It went faster than I expected. I asked one of the guys if he had time, would he check a leak under my kitchen sink. He was very thorough. It turns out that we had a bolt still attached underneath the sink from a previous water filter installation. We needed a different type of bolt and he switched the bolts for free! He even gave me some much needed advice to help prevent further leaks from the faucet area. I really appreciated the extra mile! I am very pleased with Lone Star Water Services and would gladly recommend them to others."

"Great! They responded the same day to diagnose the problem and then arrived first thing the next morning for the install. Unfortunately, due to the previous owner having done a "do it yourself" install, the hot water heater they installed did not fit, so they went out, bought a larger one and installed it outside of the closet. It cost a little bit more, but I had hot water!"

"the only thing was that he cancel three times his schedule, on top he came over one hour late... He knows what he is doing to repair the dishwasher but the scheduling and timing is not that great! I should not pay the $65.00 after waiting three times to fix the dishwasher. Should be reimbursed the money back."

Dishwasher Installation questions, answered by experts

To create a siphon break and remove any chance of dirty sink water or water that backs up into the sink from getting into your dishwasher, your dishwasher drain hose needs to have a high loop or an air gap device as part of its installation. All building codes require at least a high loop. In many places, it’s necessary to install an air gap device to meet the code.

The average cost to repair a dishwasher that’s leaking is $200, but your total will depend on the underlying problem. Having a professional replace a faulty door gasket or a gasket in a supply line could cost as little as $50, while replacing a leaking dishwasher pump could total as much as $600.

Yes, a dishwasher needs an air gap to prevent backflow. Additionally, in many locations, air gaps or another measure to prevent backflow are required for building code compliance. There are alternatives to an air gap, like a Studor vent or a loop and trap design, but an air gap is the simplest and most popular solution.

The frequency for cleaning your dishwasher filter depends on your usage habits. If you run the dishwasher daily and don't scrape or rinse dishes before loading, you should clean the filter about once a month. For those who use it only once or twice a week and rinse items beforehand, cleaning it every three to six months may be sufficient. A clear sign that your filter needs cleaning is a musty smell, even after a wash cycle. Regularly cleaning the filter is important to prevent food buildup and clogging over time. It can be helpful to add this maintenance task to your calendar to stay on schedule.

DIY installation or repair is possible with the right skills and tools, but if not done correctly, it can often lead to water leaks or improper connections.
