"Conscientious, efficient and great workmanship. We wereI so impressed when our door was installed. When we discovered the owner, Marvin, provided other residential services, we then hired them to repair the stucco on our house, install a wrought iron gate, install a stamped concrete patio and to paint our home interior. We could not be more happy with the outcome, all services provided on time and ahead of schedule. Marvin and his whole team were great to work with. Highly recommend this company."

"Due to either the popularity of the package or the busy nature of the summer season, there was a 2-week delay in getting my repairs scheduled. Once the date was scheduled, the repair was delayed further another week or so due to rain. Once the repair team did arrive, they were very polite, friendly and professional, and finished quickly. They repaired and replaced just exactly what I had asked them to fix, and the fence looks good. If I ever need to have such a service again, I will give them a call. However, I would consider getting a quote before buying the Angie's Deal just to compare and see what my actual savings turned out to be.

"Very considerate, Professional Paint Crew, Pete Rodriguez and Sons. Always thought about the Customer first. Worked diligently, quietly everyday. Showed up on time. Were off my property by 3:30 p.m. most days. Cleaned up after themselves. Neighbors only knew because they saw them cleaning paint brushes at the end of the day. Minimal disruption to my life. Some drywall, wood trim repair. Tougher job because I had $20K in new floors to protect. Had debate with Charlie, Co. Owner, re: type of paint, but he agreed to use my preference BEHR with primer. Best paint job I have ever had! BRAVO 360 Painting!"

"Our sales person was very thorough in explaining the details, and helped us to realize that we needed a bigger patio then we had even anticipated. The end construction is very thorough, and the quality of the product looks great. The main issue that I had with them is two things: first, one of their workers stepped through a wicker chair that we had and damaged it, and two, they put a gouge in our fence. In fairness, they did compensate us for the damaged chair, and explained that the fence was due to the concrete truck they had to bring in. Overall, even with the small issues, I was very satisfied with their service, especially with the fact that they took the time to listen to my needs, and make a solution that fit both our needs and our budget. Even though we wound up getting just a basic concrete patio, they took care of us with good care and quality."

Gate Repair questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can convert manual gates to electric operation. Installing a motor and an opening device from a kit allows you to convert any gate so it can open and close automatically. Be sure to buy the correct type of opener for your gate style. For example, some openers are specific to swinging gates, while others are for sliding gates. Get familiar with your swinging or sliding gate parts before you go shopping to avoid having to return to the store for the correct opener.

Installing a gate on your property is often a worthwhile investment, despite the initial expense. Gates enhance your home's curb appeal and can increase its property value, making them more attractive to potential homebuyers. They provide significant security benefits by keeping out unwanted guests and increasing privacy for your household. Additionally, a gate can help keep children and pets safely contained in your yard.

For driveway gates, automatic versions are particularly convenient and tend to add more value than manual ones. The choice of gate material also plays a role in both aesthetic appeal and security. Beyond driveways, side gates can improve accessibility to your rear yard, making the outdoor space more usable. Overall, whether for security, safety, or aesthetics, installing a gate is a valuable addition to a property.

While it is possible to install a manual gate yourself, it is generally not recommended. Professional installation is strongly advised, especially for automated or large driveway gates. Gates can be extremely heavy, sometimes weighing hundreds of pounds, which makes them bulky and dangerous to maneuver into place. Proper installation requires perfect positioning and balancing to ensure the gate swings smoothly and functions as intended. For automated gates, the wiring is also hazardous and typically requires a licensed electrician. Mistakes during a DIY installation can be costly, as materials alone can average around $1,000. Given the safety risks and the difficulty of achieving a proper setup, it is best to hire a professional gate installer.

This largely depends on the layout of your property and your preferred walking route to various entryways. Take your time figuring out the perfect spot for the gate to avoid difficulties later on. With all this said, the best place to put a gate is an area free from obstructions that offer the shortest route to your house.

No, you can’t use a garage door opener as a gate opener. Automatic garage door openers and automatic gate openers serve similar functions and may even operate similarly via remote control; however, they aren’t interchangeable. Garage door openers aren’t intended for outdoor use and can’t withstand exposure to the elements.
