"I contacted this business for tree removal and it exceeded my expectations. They're a little more expensive than other services, but you get what you pay for in the long run. Everyone was always courteous and professional. The work was done in a timely manner, and they cleaned up after themselves. I will use them again in the future, and I recommend them for your tree removal needs too."

"it's a bit pricey, but if my trees are saved it'll be worth every penny. Dr. Bob was incredibly nice and he knows his stuff. After 45 years in the business I would hope he does. Another plus? He didn't treat my questions as if I were stupid. They drove from Dallas TX to my home in deep east TX a drive of over 4 hours and that was all in one day. I would definitely recommend B&W Insect control and tree service!"

"Wow - I am blown away by the results of the tree trimming we had done today! Weâ re on one acre with 100+ trees, and the property instantly looks manicured. Itâ s amazing. The work was done well and efficiently (they did the whole property in an day) and for a fair price. Iâ ll definitely be hiring them again! Very much recommend."

"Bo Smith, owner and operator of 2 Buds Lawn & Tree Service, was professional, offered a fair price, and couldn't have been nicer. His honesty and integrity are beyond measure, and I couldn't recommend him more highly. He and his crew removed a huge oak tree from my house, but in the future, I will know who to call for even the slightest tree trimming!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Many consider the Fraser fir to be the most popular type of Christmas tree, but which type of tree sells out near you can depend on region and decorating trends that year. For example, the Leyland cypress is especially popular in the Southeast, according to the National Christmas Tree Association.

You can use a chainsaw, but it won’t remove the entire stump or root ball and is not a recommended method. It takes quite a bit of physical work to achieve and will likely dull or ruin your chainsaw. Instead, consider using salt, herbicide, light deprivation, boiling water, stump grinding, or burning to kill a tree stump. These methods allow you to kill a stump using minimal machinery and physical exertion.

The best pro to hire for spraying trees is a tree maintenance specialist. These pros are well-versed in selecting the right spray treatment and applying it properly to ensure there’s no collateral damage to the tree or surrounding landscape. Many tree maintenance services employ certified arborists, but for these routine visits, the extra investment usually isn’t necessary.

All of the tree root removal methods mentioned above are effective on any kind of root, whether it’s still growing or simply needs a gentle nudge to finish decomposing. The only difference is that larger roots tend to be harder to remove and may require multiple chemical treatments as well as manual labor to eradicate.

A chainsaw is the best tool to cut down a tree, but you may also use a handsaw or ax. You may also want to use a lopper or pole saw to remove limbs before cutting down the tree. Wear chainsaw chaps and protective gear, including eyewear and earplugs if you use a chainsaw. Again, if you’re unsure about how to use this tool, this project may be one to skip.
