"They called in a timely manner, but I changed my mind about getting a bid because I researched the fencing and decided that it wouldn't work for me because I had 6 dogs."

"I highly recommend Field of Greens. My cedar fence with expanded gate turned out great and they also handled a French drain/riger rock project for me. They are professional, timely, efficient, knowledgable and fast! The owner Sean had a quote over to me almost immediately after inspection and the job began the next week and finished in two days. I will continue to use Field of Greens for future projects. Great job!"

"Recently had a concrete slab extension and pergola on the back of my home. Got an estimate and worked out design, work was done quickly but thoroughly with my new space turning out to be more beautiful than I had expected! Jeff Chandler was involved in the process every step along the way. I was at work and he took pictures at each step letting me know not only what was being done but providing me with pictures as well for my approval. It feels now as though I have an additional room on the back of my home! Project costs, which were very reasonable and competitive, were as estimated. Yard was cleaned and left as it was before the work was done. This is the third project C&A did for me. They built an entirely new fence to the specs I requested and hung cabinets in my laundry room! Great job on both! I would recommend C&A Construction for any project, knowing the consistency and quality of their work!"

Animal Fencing questions, answered by experts

If a coyote approaches you, never run away, even if it goes against your natural instinct. Make yourself look big, shout loudly, and throw something in the coyote's direction. Be persistent and continue these scare tactics until they move away. Then, you should move away slowly, always facing the coyote.

Take a few preventative measures to prevent mice from chewing your car wires. First, consider adding a few drops of a taste deterrent, such as pine-based floor cleaner or peppermint oil. Also, regularly starting your vehicle, even if you don't drive it frequently, can discourage rodents from nesting in the engine bay, as they prefer quieter and sheltered environments. Finally, consider leaving your car's hood up at night when parked in a garage, which makes the engine bay less inviting for rodents as it becomes less dark, warm, and comfortable.

No, one snake does not always mean more. While snakes do often congregate in dens to breed, for most of the year, they are primarily solitary creatures that do not travel in groups. A single snake may make its way near your home in search of food, warmth, or shelter.

Yes, dryer sheets can help repel mice. The strong artificial fragrances found in many dryer sheets, such as citrus, floral, or lavender, are unpleasant to mice, which are very sensitive to smells. Many people report success using them to deter mice from areas like cars, drawers, vents, and cupboards. The scent can last for many days, making the space undesirable for rodents. However, dryer sheets may not be a foolproof solution on their own. For more effective protection against rodent infestations, it is best to combine them with other preventive measures like traps, repellent sprays, and proper storage practices.

To keep animals out, you must prevent them from entering. As long as they can get in, the problem will persist. That said, consider making your attic less inviting using deterrents like motion-activated lights or ultrasonic devices. Additionally, keeping a well-maintained, clean, and uncluttered attic that you regularly inspect for activity may make the space less attractive to critters.
