Holman bypassed and repaired the first two leaks. When the third leak was noticed they knew it was something more serious and discovered that the plastic pipe embedded in the cement slab for the house had cracked in one or more places. They worked patiently and carefully with the insurance adjuster to to identify and document the leaks so that we could recover the maximum amount of insurance reimbursement. They finally decided to replace all original plastic pipe from the water meter to the house and then throughout the entire house. The house was replumbed through the attic with drops to all water outlets. Throughout the 5 weeks that we worked with Holman, they were punctual, polite, and professional. All costs of the initial repairs were applied to the comprehensive bill of replumbing the whole house. We cannot say enough nice things about the quality of the work and the professionalism of Holman Plumbing. Our house is about 20 yrs old. Our issue was sewer smell and flies in the master bath. We had researched online and tried many remedies, but none worked. When the plumber arrived, I was shocked that they removed their shoes before entering our home! That was a nice touch! I then realized that he was not alone, but had a full team with him. We all gathered in the bathroom and I fully explained the problems we were having. He explained that he would first take a look into the pipes with a camera to diagnose any blockages or broken pipes. The camera uncovered some interesting issues. The lines were covered in "debris" and "sludge" that the camera was not very efffective. His team then was able to "clean" the line with presserized water to allow the camera to better see. After the pipes were cleared from years of sludge, it was determined that our line in the slab was not installed properly and it has a "bow" in it which causes the water and sludge to stand. The pipe still had a good flow, so his team decided that it was not an issue that was in need of immediate repair. The team then returned to the bathroom and removed the cover to our shower drain, tub drain and sink drains to determin if standing water in these was the issue. They determined that all were draining porperly and sealed properly and not allowing for standing water for flies to breed. He then asked if he could remove the toliet because it was the likely source of the smell and the flies. Upon removal, it was discovered that the "flange" was cracked and was allowing seepage under the toliet. The flange was not adjusted or a new one installed peoperly when the bath was remodeled and tile was put in about 5 years ago. It seems the plumber who installed the tolied after the tile was put in simply chose to tighten the toilet without having the flange at the proper height. This caused the flange to be put under stress and eventually crack and cause release of gas and sludge under the toliet through the crack. The reason it did not leak from under toilet was because the remodeling contactor also used tile morter to seal the toliet base to the tile. The plumbing team replaced the damaged flange and installed a new flange at the proper height. The toilet was also reinstalled with new wax seals and new bolts. As a courtesy, he also changed out our water line because it was a cheaper plastic one. He recommended the metal hose connections asthey will last much longer and have a very small history of failure. Again, he replaced at no charge while explaining. After watching his service team analyse the issue and not jump to conclusions or try to sell me services I really didn't need, I asked about another issue. Our house is about 20 yrs old and believe it or not, we were still using the original water heater that wasinstalled when the house was built. I'm not a plumber, but I did know that it ws time to replace as I did not wish to return to a flooded house one day soon. John Gause team looked at the heater and again analysed. He offered two options of replacement sizes he recommended and offered very comfortable pricing. Needless to say, I now have all of my issues repaired and a brand new water heater at far less than I was expecting to pay. Thanks to the team I met, John, Brad, Keith and Spencer. Needless to say I think they really went above and beyond and I feel confident in their work. Turned out my drain filter was plugged with a sponge. But he checked every other possible cause for leaks even though we found the cause early on. It was very thorough.

Perfectly!!! The only plumber who would and COULD do the work, apparently! Two other companies were hired over a two year period and neither of them fixed anything; in fact, made SOME things worse! This company came when they said they would and cheerfully fixed everything on the list,...

FAQs for basement leak repair projects in Centerview, TX
The cost to finish a basement is $18,400 for the average homeowner. However, this cost could be as little as $2,800 or as much as $34,500, depending on the basement size and the materials needed. If your basement is already outfitted with electrical and plumbing, expect the cost to fall on the lower end.
For example, the drywall cost for this project averages around $1,750, but other features, like hiring a plumber, cost between $45 and $200 per hour.
The cost to remodel a basement is between $12,100 and $33,400 for the average homeowner. The price you pay can be as little as $3,500 or as much as $50,200, depending on the size and condition of your basement and the type of remodel you're doing.
If you're doing a simple project like adding a home office to your basement, you can expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $3,000. However, if you're adding a bathroom, which is an extensive project, you can expect to pay between $6,600 to $16,500.
Damp proofing and waterproofing are both methods to help keep your basement dry. Damp proofing keeps soil moisture from entering your basement, which is helpful since your basement is underground. Waterproofing, however, keeps both soil moisture and liquid water out of the basement, which is essential, especially if you live in a wet environment. Because it’s more protective, waterproofing typically costs more than damp proofing.
Although homeowners often use the terms basement remodeling and basement finishing interchangeably, they are quite different terms.
Finishing a basement is the process of taking a basement space that is not habitable and adding elements to make it usable. This includes adding plumbing, flooring, and insulation.
Remodeling a basement means taking an already existing finished basement and changing it, often by adding or removing walls, adding plumbing, or changing the existing flooring.
The cost of basement waterproofing is $4,950 for the average homeowner. However, you could end up paying between $600 and $14,000, depending on factors like basement size, waterproofing method, and the region you live in.
If you live in an area with heavy rainfall, you might be paying more for waterproofing than if you lived somewhere drier since waterproofing contractors would be in high demand. Likewise, a 500-foot basement costs between $2,500and $5,000 to waterproof, but that price rises significantly for a larger basement.
