"Jim and Rob came out to provide an estimate within 4 hours of my contacting them. They were able to cost the project and provide me an estimate on the spot. This occurred on a Saturday afternoon after a severe storm blew down part of the fence flooding the entire fence line. They provided a fair estimate considering the current inflated wood prices (not their fault) and advised me they could start the work, if contracted during on Wednesday of the next week. I signed the contract, provided their requested deposit and felt good about their estimate, repair timing, and plan of action. Like clockwork, they showed up on-time, removed the posts and fence sections, removed the concrete footings, and reset the new posts by the end of the first day. They returned 2 days later, as adjusted for rain, and completed that entire side with new gate. The work was screwed in vs. less reliable nailing... a plus in my book. They also hand selected the new dog-eared fence boards rather than just go with a pallet of wood... another plus. Throughout, they cleaned up after their selves and neatly stacked the old fence for a contractor to pickup. The pile was gone before they left. Due to the flooding of my rear yard, they removed that section of fence but could not complete the reinstallation until the following Monday. However, over the weekend, they temporarily secured enough of the old fence to not leave the backyard exposed... another plus. On Tuesday, as agreed, they returned, on time and completed the job. The job site was left without any damage or debris... All in all, these gentlemen are a family business that take price in their work, respect the home-owner's wishes, and fulfill their contracts. The property is now safely secured with a new, professionally installed fence. I'm happy and will let them redo my 30 year old deck in two months. If you are looking for pro's, look no further... these fella's are great! Rare professional ethics these days! Thanks folks!"

"We are very pleased with the work Dennis and Adam with Dominion Decks did for us. We hired Dennis to repair a large deck and he was the first contractor that did not upsell and gave us a bid for exactly what we wanted and needed. Dennis and Adam were ontime, friendly and efficient. They completed the repairs in the timeframe provided and removed all old wood and trash before leaving. In addition, he saw our fence gate needed repairs and replaced it with a new gate. He wouldn’t accept payment for replacing the gate because it wasn’t on the original contract. "I wanted to share my experience with DV Roofing and Remodeling. I fired them around 6 weeks ago due to finding out that they were trying to get away with over $3,000 worth of work that was not done. When meeting with David Violette and Roger the owners, they were professional and appeared to be an honest person. I clearly stated to David that I wanted all repairs done that the insurance was reimbursing for. When he came over with Roger to write up the contract, he did not include my window screens which the insurance was paying for (I thought it was an honest oversight). He quickly went down the check list mumbling some, but did not explain he was not listing everything the insurance was paying for and he did not explain that he had no intentions on replacing my felt as he was requesting reimbursement for (which is illegal). I found out the quality of work they do because they left a piece of my drip edge in the front of my house damaged. I called them back to fix a speaker they didn't reattach to the back of my house and to fix the drip edge. They came out and fixed both, but unfortunately did a sloppy job with my drip edge and the front of my house looked like it had a patch job done. It previously was a smooth piece of drip edge and now it had a patch. I called David to have him come out and look at the patch work that I was not happy with. I also called a second company to come out that is a Haag trained roof inspector. I wanted to get a second opinion on the patch job so I could discuss with David when he came. The inspector requested all the information about the repairs that should have been done and inspected to see if they were all done. He found over $3,000 worth of work that was not done. He took pictures of the work that was not completed. The inspector did not cost a lot, so I would recommend that everyone getting a roof done hire an inspector. David had also included damages for my fence as a supplemental check that he NEVER discussed with me. I had to meet with lawyers and the fraud department. It has been a nightmare. Because the insurance gave me the initial first payment and I had already paid DV Roofing the first check, they stated at this point it was a civl suit, prior to my paying him they could have stepped in. BEWARE where it says replace felt, if he scratches it out and writes in install he has no intention on tearing off your old felt and replacing with new felt (however he sure will collect money for it) and when he hand writes in on replacing the drip edge and writes "as needed" (but he requests reimbursement to replace it all). He tried to pocket this money. He gave me all these other excuses the other times we talked about where the $3000 went to and I discussed with the inspector, insurance, lawyers, and RCAT. They all stated he was full of bull and pocketing the money. The crew was extremely nice and professional and even though they had an inspector on sight, it is clear he is in on this poor quality of work as well. Please beware and choose another contractor. Thank goodness I recorded our conversations, because David can't lie about what he said. I have emails and recordings. DV Roofing was a horrible choice. Their website states that they have "best warranties in the industry, no short-cuts on materials or our superb craftsmanship". This is a complete lie. They cut corners (over $3,000 worth). Not replacing the felt in itself it "poor workmanship" not superb. Their warranty is also not the best. Most offer 10 year warranties, they offered 5 years. They committed fraud and mislead me. I should not have had to research every night and learn about roofing, nor should I have had to hire a certified roof inspector and lawyer. They are supposedly the professional in this field. David stated that all roofing companies do this, and they don't. That's why there is an association w/ ethical roofing companies that care to be a part of the association and uphold those standards. It is companies like DV Roofing that make roofing companies look bad. Please do not fall victim."

"This company is the worst in the city I had to take the owner Steve to Bexar County precinct 2 case #21s2100412 and sue him for $2900 for bad cement work quality and service. He hires individuals off the streets they don't know what they're doing and he does not supervise them. The fence work Was just as terrible and appropriate placement of the hinges on even Pickett's fence fell apart within one year. I strongly encourage not to use him his tactics and his work quality is Is terrible. Is notice no new reviews in years???"
