"Linda and her daughter (? I think) have been providing regular housecleaning for us since mid-2013.  They are flexible when we need to move service dates, and we've worked with them when their schedule needed us to shift.  They had been friendly and professional, and generally do a good job.  We originally had them out twice a month, and had dropped back to monthly.
However, we are discontinuing their service. The regular monthly cleaning had been $108 - but this last time, they informed us that the price was now $162.18 - an increase of 50%.  they also told us this *after* the work had been done.  We paid it - but I was very unhappy with such a steep price hike, so suddenly, with no prior warning.  It's now a bit hard for us to afford them, so we have to drop their service.  I also think it was very unprofessional to let us know the cost was going up by half again, after they'd already done the work - the professional thing would have been to notify us in advance - at the very least, in advance on the day of the scheduled work, but a day or so in advance would have been better.

"I turned to Angie’s List to find someone to do some excavation work & leveling for an above ground swimming pool. We purchased our pool in April and reached out to at least a dozen or more companies and they were all either no shows or no response (even after providing us with a quote). He came out that same day to look at our property and go over the project. He spent well over an hour discussing our plans & ideas for the project and provided us with a quote by that same evening. We we’re very impressed with him and his enthusiasm for his work so we scheduled a date and a week later he and his crew showed up and knocked it out. He’s personable, punctual, responsive, knowledgeable, and dependable. He does exactly what he says he’s going to do, period! We are very pleased with Giddens & Assoc and would definitely recommend them in the future!!!"
