"Willie and his team did fantastic work. After contacting numerous other "foundation experts", Willie provided the best plan and backed it up with his overall knowledge and certification/training in basement/foundation repair. He and his team do great work and take no short-cuts when it comes to the overall quality of the work. He also was very flexible when other requests were made and he gladly accommodated. He has a passion for his business, customers and takes great pride in his work. The basement and porch are now fixed and look great. Best of all is that we have confidence the work performed will last."

"James and crew did a great job with constructing a concrete slab for a shed. The project took only a couple of days, from quote to pouring of the concrete. The area was left clean and the slab looks great. I would highly recommend A1 concrete."

"Waco Foundation Repair Inc. were nice people. Their estimate seemed reasonable and fair. Their pricing was competitive. They quoted me for $8000. They seemed to be honest. They kept their time and when they're going t0 show up. They gave good estimates. The price and quality of what they're going to do seemed worth the money. Their scheduling was tight. They seemed to be on the money. They were professional. They gave a good quote. They left people to explain what they were going to do."

"Foundation was repaired and leveled, but the person who came out to give the quote indicated that the skirting would be repaired and that a rotted beam at the front of the house would be replaced, and that all piers would be strapped with five (5) straps for lateral stability. The piers were replaced but only one strap was used, several of them were broken, and the rotted beam was not replaced. I didn't say anything about it when the repair was done, so they may have fixed those things if I'd been more on the ball about inspecting their work. But I don't think the details of the repair were well communicated to the work crew. The actual installation of the piers went well and the house is still level, so the main purpose of the job was achieved well enough."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking restores level surfaces, prevents further damage, and is more cost-effective than a full replacement.

The method involves lifting settled concrete using pressurized cement slurry via drilled holes. This solves uneven surfaces and prevents further settling.

Costs range from $500 to $1,500, depending on the size and condition of the area.

Most houses are expected to settle over time, but foundation sinking of more than a few inches or uneven sinking of more than an inch for every 20 feet is cause for concern. Any significant or uneven sinking should be assessed by a professional to determine the cause and perform any necessary repairs.

Most states and municipalities don’t require concrete mudjacking companies to carry a specific license, but they usually need to have a general contractor’s license, and they should be fully insured. The only exception is if the mudjacking company provides foundation repairs as well, or if it offers mudjacking for home foundations. In that case, they will typically need a foundation repair contractor’s license. You can check state requirements and then use Angi’s license lookup tool to confirm that a company is properly licensed to provide mudjacking services in your area.
