"We have used the services of Gleam Team many times and will continue to do so. Their employees are always polite and professional and the work they do is exceptional. In addition to window and gutter cleaning, we have previously used Gleam Team to power wash our flagstone patio. Once again, the work performed is always good."

"Our house experienced flooding about a year ago due to a negative grade on our side yard. Mo and his team provided a beautiful drainage solution with brick and river rock. I would certainly work with Mo again as he is very open to negotiation and providing you a quality solution at an affordable price. I was able to schedulee services all within days of calling him. He and his team are quick, courteous and worked hard even in the summer sun. Additionally, I was able to schedule tree trimming services at the same time. The price we paid for tree trimming and landscaping were a fraction of the quotes we received from competitors for just landscaping. I will be working again with Mo and his team again in the future and would certainly recommend him to all of my friends and family."

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

DIY is possible, but professional services ensure even removal, safety compliance, and proper cleanup.

Soda-blasting systems are slightly more expensive than sandblasting systems. To soda blast, you’ll need to spend a few hundred dollars for a blast hose and nozzle, a compressed air supply, a blast generator, a moisture decontamination system, and sodium bicarbonate media, a recurring cost because the powder is not reusable. To start with sandblasting, you will need to spend upwards of $30 for a blast pot, a blast gun, an air compressor, and sandblasting media, many of which are recyclable—further reducing the cost. The total cost for either will depend on the size of the system.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.

Your pro will most likely bill you at an hourly rate of $50 to $80 per hour to sandblast a door due to its small size. This type of job won't take long, so if you have other surfaces that need cleaning, schedule those tasks at the same time to get your money's worth from your pro's visit.

Sandblasting is a common method for removing paint. It works great if the underlying material is tough. This is because you can then use more abrasive sandblast materials, making the paint removal process much faster and less expensive. If you plan on removing many layers of paint on smooth surfaces, you’ll need to be more careful about which materials you choose to use to sandblast.
