"Wonderful. The boss (Jane) responded promptly, visited the house, and next morning e-mailed me an incredibly detailed proposal that showed she had noted every one of my items to be done and my concerns (three full pages' worth). The house was occupied and filled with furniture and a couple of large plants hiding from the cold. I said these absolutely had to remain paint-free and grime-free. Jane assured me that her staff would drape the furniture with a very soft, pliable plastic material that would protect them, and this is exactly what she and they did. The job took four working days, and after the work was done Jane came out to inspect it and complete the clean up. When it was over, I had a fresh, bright interior, a like-new deck, and the house was as clean as before they started. Cleaner, actually, with all the crumbling old paint and dirty exterior all gone. The house is truly a different, cleanly elegant space to be in -- far from what it was before. And Jane herself volunteered to retouch four places I had accidentally knocked a shelf loose and decided to scrap it and its mate, leaving marks behind. The new colors work as well for others, apparently, as they do for me -- next day, I had an offer on the house for 97% of my asking price. By the way, her staff respected the furniture and plants and the fact that I was working in the house part of the time; we all got along fine. So, maybe not the cheapest, but Jane & Co. certainly gave me what I paid for."
