"The crew showed up every morning on time. They patched/drywalled and textured numerous small areas. The texturing was so good, that it is almost impossible to detect where the repairs where made. They also framed, drywalled and textured the kitchen area for recessed lighting installation. They repaired an area where there was a shower leak. They replaced the drywall and textured an area where a closet had been removed. On every part of the project, they exhibited superior workmanship. And at the end of every day, they cleaned up after themselves. Hire them again? Definitely yes!

"This company produced the quality of insulation they promised. We needed attic insulation as well as perimeter wall insulation. We asked for closed cell with open cell on top. The work was exactly as promised. Chester and his crew arrived on time and completed the entire project in one day. We are very pleased with the quality of the product, the work ethic of the men and the price of the insulation. We are very pleased with this company and would highly recommend them to anyone needing spray foam insulation."

"This company is willing to go the extra mile for its customers, literally. I've been trying to get foam insulation put under my floors for the last 3 weeks but with the first two companies I hired something always came up or they would have an excuse with why they couldn't do it. But with Eco Foam, I do admit they did have a little mistake in the morning but I called Scott and even though I was extremely rude and short with him, even though he didn't deserve it, he never lost his cool and was able to come up with a plan to get my project done. Most company's would have told me where to go and hung up but Scott didnt do that. He instead drove the 2+ hour trip to be here with his other rig and got the job knocked out so that I could finally put the house on the market and have an open house the next morning. For that I am EXTREMELY thankful and will only use them for my insulation needs as well as recommend them to my friends, family, and colleagues. Eco Foam is the real deal with an A+ in quality, A+ in performing the job , and an A+++ in customer service. Do yourself a favor and call Eco Foam."

"They arrived on time. Both gentlemen were very polite and respectful. They did quality work at a very reasonable price. You could feel a difference in the house by the time they were halfway through the project. They did a good job cleaning up afterward. I will definitely call them again if I have any other insulation needs."

"I received 3 quotes on installing a new 5 ton unit to our house air network was $2,000 cheaper than the # 2 bid and over $3000 cheaper than the other bid. They came when they said and chris was very knowledgeable. We had a new unit installed as well as all new ducting and blown in insulation. I would highly recommend air network in the Weimar area"

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

Although they have similar applications, spackle and joint compound are not the same. Their primary differences lie in their composition, consistency, and ideal use cases.

Spackle is composed of gypsum and binding agents, making it thicker than joint compound. It dries quickly and is easy to sand, which makes it ideal for small wall repair projects like filling nail holes or patching minor damage.

Joint compound, also known as drywall mud, consists of limestone and gypsum. It is primarily used for large-scale projects, such as taping and finishing the seams on newly installed drywall. It tends to shrink more than spackle and can be more difficult to spread.

While both products can be used to fill small depressions and cracks, spackle cannot replace joint compound for taping and mudding new drywall. Conversely, you can often use joint compound for small patching jobs typically done with spackle.

The average cost to apply a skip-trowel drywall texture to walls is $1.25 to $2.00 per square foot. Ceilings cost slightly more because of the increased difficulty of working overhead. Additional cost factors include any drywall repairs and removal of existing textures or wallpaper.

Yes, even if you’re being careful, removing tile can damage your drywall to some degree. However, you can minimize the damage done to it by eliminating a majority of the grout and taking your time prying each tile off. Also, it's worth noting that you might have more drywall damages to deal with if your tile is set into the mortar.

It’s not a good idea to plaster over broken plaster (unless by broken you’re referring to cracked, in which case that’s perfectly fine). However, broken plaster can be a sign of a larger underlying issue like foundation damage or severe damage to the lath holding up the plaster, so it’s worth investigating before you simply plaster on top of the damage.

Plaster ceilings can sag for several reasons. In some cases, the plaster and other building materials shift and come apart over time, which is why you’ll commonly find drooping plaster ceilings in older homes. Improper installation, foot traffic, and water damage—often from a leaky roof or a broken pipe—can also cause plaster ceilings to sag.
