"The fence is one of the straightest privacy fences I have ever seen. These guys stayed very late to complete the job for us. Excellent looking Oxford Brown cedar fence. Makes my back yard and pool area look so much better!!"

"My wife and I needed a place to sit and watch the kids swim in the pool, but she also wanted a place to sit in the sun by the pool. I also just wanted to stop having to clean so much grass out of the pool so I contacted these guys, who built me a 12x20' porch with a canopy off the back door and connected it to the pool with a 6 foot walkway and an 8x24' deck. They were very quick. Worked everyday until it was done. The transitions to different levels is very neat and looks really nice. They cleaned up when they were finished and everyone is happy."

"They were very thorough with the job. Once they started on the porch rebuild, they told us about other problems caused by rain damage. In which they repaired all of it. We are very happy with the outcome. The porch looks amazing and very sturdy! They did not skimp on screws! It will be there for a while!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Builder’s Carpet and Design Center and we are very pleased with all of the work they performed and the products they installed in our home. Jonathan Markum was outstanding in helping us to select the best flooring and carpeting options for all of our rooms. He was super professional and extremely knowledge. Jonathan was also very patient with us through the entire process, answering any and all of our questions and always returning our calls quickly. If you need new carpeting or flooring for your home, go see Jonathan. Jose also did a great job refinishing our wood flooring."

Gazebos questions, answered by experts

To make the gazebo accessible, you can build a wheelchair pathway leading up to it. The path should be paved with a smooth surface for wheelchairs to roll through. A low curb should be placed along each side to ensure the wheelchair stays on the path. At the end of the path, build a wheelchair ramp connecting the gazebo.

Common materials include wood, vinyl, and metal. Wood offers a classic look, while vinyl and metal are low-maintenance options.

Log cabins are relatively difficult to maintain compared to a traditional house. That’s because log cabins require regular upkeep and care that can include refinishing and corncob blasting, a process similar to sandblasting that shoots ground-up corncob with compressed air.

Yes, many gazebos are permanent structures built onto the land. However, if you have a portable gazebo that isn’t secured to the ground, you’ll want to check the manufacturer’s instructions to understand when to put it away. Generally speaking, when it’s particularly windy or wet outside, you should take down your temporary gazebo.

Several types of porches are available to meet your needs and style preferences. Some common porch types include:

  • Porticos are essentially a roof over a walkway leading to the home's front entrance.

  • Sunrooms are closed-in porches that are an extension of the house with glass or plastic panels that allow optimal sunlight.

  • Wraparound porches extend around the entire home, or at least the front and one side, and offer multiple entrances to the house.

  • Back porches are an extension of the home’s floor into the outdoors. These offer more protection and privacy than a deck.
