Duryea Moving worked with our out-of-state move coordinator to accept delivery and store household goods for an extended period of time. Duryea provided the best pricing for storage and for the local move at the end of the storage period. All employees provided professional, prompt, and courteous service during multiple encounters. The courteous moving staff took great pride in their work and handled our items with the utmost care. The staff worked quickly and maintained a positive attitude throughout delivery of a very large shipment from storage, and demonstrated that same work ethic when loading and delivering items during the local move. It was a pleasure to work with Duryea Moving. They made a very stressful time in our lives less stressful!

They were johnny-on-the-spot when contracting, but they people they hired were a drug addict and someone from a homeless shelter. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for giving someone a second chance, but the ex-drug addict showed me the scars on his arm, which was a bit much. they broke furniture. When we arrived in Florida, they wouldn't unload the furniture until we paid. They overcharged us, past what the contract was. We were told they'd deliver at 8 am, but they didn't show up until 10 am, and it was 1 pm by the time they unloaded due to the haggling. The woman asked if she could use my shower at the end. It was totally unprofessional. They tried to talk us out of the $0 deductible insurance. During the move, I had the contents of a piggy bank that I'd rolled up for the bank, and $30 of the $80 was stolen. Many things were broken.

I would never recommend them to anybody. They lied to us left, right, and center; I'm negotiating with them right now to get the repairs done. They're a subcontractor for Wheaton Movers. When I told Wheaton about the employees, they didn't believe me.

These movers were great. They arrived early, were professional at all times. They were fast! What I thought would take all day, took 1/2 the time. I had an additional person added because of the heavy stuff to handle. It was well worth it. I will hire this company again. Top Notch all the way!

She was through in estimating,  they actually came in under the estimated price. They were prompt, very communicative all the way though move and the driver was very professional.

This guys were great and worked hard all day. We  had everything box and tore down. They were on time and packed everything to keep from any damage. Want great service use these guys.

They were excellent.  They were very careful with everything.  They packed and moved everything as if it belonged to themselves.  They were very easy to work with.  They were very thoughtful.  We needed to store some things for awhile before we actually moved and they were aware of that and everything was fine when we unpacked it.  Nothing was broken.  The storage part of the deal was not expensive.  Overall, they did what you would want a mover to do.  Everything was great.

Everything went very smoothly.  I was impressed at how well they packed my things and how careful they were about everything.  I had a great experience with them. 

Better than expected! Best moving experience I have had and I am retired military! I can honestly say there is nothing I would have them do different. All movers participated in a walk thru with me on what was going to be loaded and what would stay. All were very attentive and receptive to my concerns. They completed their work effectively as a team (great chemistry amongst workers). They seemed to treat our property as if it was theirs.

We are building a home and needed a moving company to move and store our furniture for about 3 months. After reading reviews on Angie's list, Duryea was contacted and Kay visited that day to give us an estimate for moving, storage, and then our final move to our new home. The estimate was ready the next day and seemed reasonable, so they were hired. The driver and assistants were on time, very courteous and careful with our furniture and boxes. They worked the entire time and were done by mid afternoon. The furniture is stored in vaults in the warehouse until needed, and to avoid moving our things several times, the vaults were brought to our home and furniture placed directly into them, then placed in the warehouse. We appreciated this consideration and were very happy with the overall experience. Our final move will be in June, so comments will be posted as to the condition of our household items after unpacking at that time.

My experience with Duryea (an agent of another company) was outstanding. The agent was early for the estimate appointment, and provided me a binding firm estimate the next day that still came in as best value of the other estimates I received (which were not binding). As I was self-packing, Duryea provided used boxes (as available) for free. The warehouse personnel were friendly, helpful, and packed all the boxes in my car for me. A mover came the day before my move out to pack my electronics. Packing was fast and thorough. John and Giselle Lewis, my driving team, were on time, and supplemented by two local Duryea movers. Despite the 95-100 degree heat of the day, all furniture packing and moving was organized and well done. John and Giselle are extremely conscientous of the customers goods, and have an organized system that brought the two local movers into a four-person team to work as efficiently as possible. All furniture was pad-wrapped and secured with 1-inch large rubber bands (reusable, instead of tape) and shrink-wrapped before it was taken out of the house. I have no antiques or special needs items, and my furninture is nothing spectacular, but care and thought was put into moving all items. As my goods were moved out off the house, everything was neatly and carefully placed on the driveway (not on the lawn) while waiting to be placed in the truck. Clean-up was excellent. John and Giselle called two days ahead of delivery at my new home. Upon arrival, John and Giselle (again, supplemented by two local Vancouver movers) placed canvas floor covering (again, re-usable instead of boxes) to protect my hardwood floors, pad-wraped the stair railings and bannisters, and placed plastic sheeting on the stairs carpet. After my house was protected, they began to move my goods in. Payment was due at this time, as specified in the contract. John and Giselle proved themselves again with the unload of my goods. They integrated the local movers into a 4-person team, and worked in an organized fashion. They had all furniture placed, and all goods unloaded in five hours. Duryea and the other movers were excellent agents to move with. I had no problems, had all my questions answered, and had my household goods treated in excellent fashion. There was no breakage. I would highly recommend Duryea to anyone in need of a move, and would work with them again. The excellence of the service was further emphasized by the contrast of my movers with those of my sister's, who arrived the day after mine. She had more goods, but only three movers to unload. They were not as cautious with the household, and were extremely slow in unpacking. Her driver spent most of the morning on the phone rather than working the unload. Seeing the contrast of these two movers allowed me to appreciate Duryea even more!

As stated above, Duryea is the BEST!
