"I rarely write reviews, but Eric Herrera and his crew earned this one. They removed the old flooring from my kitchen and laundry room and installed large-format tile throughout. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding. Large-format tile isn’t easy to install well, but these guys are true professionals and the finished result speaks for itself. What impressed me just as much was their professionalism. They arrived exactly when they said they would every single day, worked hard, and left everything clean and tidy before heading home. It’s clear they take pride in both their work and how they treat their customers. I had already sourced the tile, and Eric supplied everything else needed to complete the installation. The entire process was smooth, straightforward, and hassle-free. If you’re looking for someone who specializes in tile installation, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Eric Herrera and his team. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars."

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

The cost to polish floors averages around $200 per room, but you could pay anywhere from $100 to $300. Some factors that influence the total cost of floor polishing include the following:

  • Square footage of flooring

  • Type of floor

  • Whether you need floor repairs done beforehand

  • Whether or not you want professional floor cleaning done beforehand

Since square footage is the most significant cost factor, you might get a more accurate estimate by using the average cost per square foot for floor polishing, which is between $1.00 and $2.50.

To maintain tile and grout, clean the surfaces regularly with mild, non-abrasive cleaners and wipe up spills promptly to prevent buildup. It is also important to reseal the grout every 1-2 years to maintain its durability.

After carpet removal, prepare for new flooring by assessing the subfloor. You will want to address any imperfections to create a smooth and level base for installation. Remember, proper subfloor preparation is crucial for optimal new flooring results. Consider repairing and replacing damaged areas for a stable foundation. For both wood and concrete subfloors, consider sanding to remove any debris or adhesives remaining thoroughly.

You can use dish soap mixed with warm water to clean just about any type of flooring, and while vinegar is a great addition to some floor cleaners, it’s not a good idea to use it on wood flooring or engineered wood flooring. Vinegar is very acidic, and it can gradually eat away at the protective finish on wood floors. If you’re cleaning laminate, tile, concrete, or vinyl floors, feel free to use vinegar and water in a 1-to-1 ratio with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, substitute the vinegar for olive oil.

Yes, but with caution. A floor grinder is intended to level and polish concrete, so it is a very powerful tool. To remove paint, the floor grinder should be set to 35 square feet per minute or less to minimize the pressure without the use of pocket weights. You might need to go over the surface two times to get any paint that has sunk into the concrete’s pores.
